We chose Malmaison to celebrate our 21st Wedding anniversary on 04/01/13.My wife became ill immediately after eating in the restaurant. She was so unwell we checked out before midnight and went home. The night porter was concerned and claimed someone would phone us the next day. They did not. We phoned them and they would not comment until they had organised an expected hygiene audit which they found no issues. What level of customer sevice is appropriate for a ruined evening and a bed that has not been slept in. Malmaison have felt that to do nothing is appropriate

Hotel is very sassy, rooms are pretty comfi a brighter light would be nice though and the bedroom windows need double glazing to keep out the noise not good for light sleepers
Staff are very helpfull and chatty nice to see
Why do use have to room charge drinks at night if people want to pay with cash? and th secret charges should be told on the night nice to know these things

Had a one-night stay here on a Friday night as a last-minute treat. We had high expectations but ended up a little disappointed, The room was a reasonable size, though the bed was a little small and creaky. Facilities were a bit limited for a "trendy" hotel brand: there was a DVD player but no iPod dock or any non-UK channels on the TV.

Breakfast was also underwhelming. There was a nice but limited buffet and a range of cooked options. The waffles turned out to be unavailable and a request for the full breakfast without the tomato resulted in a very empty plate as not substitute items were offered.

The location is good and central, the downside of this is that there is no parking in the hotel and the recommended nearby Donegall Quay carpark charged £17 for 24 hours.

The receptionist who checked us in (and out) was lovely. However next time I'll save my money and choose a cheaper alternative.

stayed here for 3 nights, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was gorgeous, shower amazing. right across the road from Victoria square and central belfast shopping areas. We did not eat in hotel but lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Near titanic quarter and cathedral quarter also and convenient to get to city airport (taxi not too expensive or bus on nearby street.) I would stay here again!

Great location, service fantastic - especially from the staff in the brasserie! Breakfast was superb, fresh produce, displayed beautifully, none of that Luke warm buffet style breakfast you get elsewhere. Nothing was a problem! Chic surroundings, bedrooms beautifully appointed. Location very good, handy to car park and very central to the town. Will definitely return!

Just steps away from shopping and restaurants this hotel has a lovely old world atmosphere that is mixed with a modern look. The room was spacious although the beds were small and a bit firm for American standards. We enjoyed a most delicious breakfast at the restaurant and very yummy Baileys with coffee at the bar. Very helpful staff.

Malmaison is a lovely hotel in a very central location in Belfast. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The room was very tastefully furnished, was warm and comfortable and a good size for city centre. Didn't eat here, menu looked pricey. Only downside, the hotel is very dimly lit and therefore a bit difficult to see, but I suppose this is its image! We got a very good overnight rate and would return. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: use trevago site for a great deal.
