Returned to Belfast for one night for the WPFG boxing finals in the Ulster Hall. Booked in with a few lads and check in was nice and easy. The staff were very friendly. This is the student accommodation and is well laid out. I got my room with ensuite including breakfast for 38.50. A shuttle bus picks you up and takes you to the college for breakfast. The place is well secure with your room key which also opens main doors leading onto your corridor. The room was bug enough and very clean. The toilet and shower were also spotless with 2 large towels. Malone road is only a few minutes from the city so the location is ideal. I returned in the small hours of the morning after a good night out in Belfadt and had a nice comfortable sleep.

Stayed at the elms for two nights for the springsteen show at kings hall. Rooms are no fuss but pleasant and very clean. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Breakfast was also very good and have. If you are visiting Belfast on a budget look no further.. For the price... Faultless.

Had no choice but to stay at Elms Village as the rest of Belfast was booked up for a Bruce Springsteen concert. For the price paid I have no complaints, the en suite room was clean, the breakfast was okay, the staff were friendly. I would not stay here again by choice as it is quite a walk to the nearest shop, and being summer most of the normal campus facilities are closed. Can't complain though as it was very reasonably priced, and would have no worries about using them again. Just don't expect any frills.

I stayed here for one night with my 14 year old daughter and seven year old son. We initially had difficulty finding the place - I expected it to be closer to the university but it's a good 15-20 mins walk up the busy Malone Road. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. We had to drive down to the block on Ash Avenue, carry up our baggage (there are no lifts) and then move the car back up near reception, which is a few minutes' walk away. Parking is cheap (50p/day/time driving out, so cheaper if you leave the car there all day, rather than coming in and out a few times).
I booked one double (bed) and one single room. They were on separate sections of the same floor and each had an ensuite and basic, clean facilities. Towels were provided, plus soap and small bottles of shampoo/body wash. Bed linen was also provided, and made up. We had no noisy neighbours and the place was generally quiet.
There is a small well-equipped communal kitchen on each floor. This worked out well for us, as I was able to heat up some soup, cook pasta for the kids and make toast and tea/coffee (provided). There was crockery, cutlery, saucepans, a microwave, toaster, kettle, cooker (hob and oven), fridge, ironing facilities and was clean. We were the only ones using the kitchen at the time. It had a table, a couple of chairs, a small couch and a small TV with limited terrestrial channels but not a great reception. The shop onsite was closed in the evening and I walked to a nearby garage on the Malone Road to pick up a few things - its shop stocked a good range of items including ready meals and sandwiches.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of fry staples, plus fried bread(!). There was also yoghurt, fruit, cereals, juice, pastries and tea/coffee - a good spread.
Overall, Elms Village was clean and quiet and good for our needs. Although it is not family-orientated, we found the kitchen facilities very convenient. I would definitely consider staying here again.

As hotel accommodation was so expensive on the weekend I went for this option knowing it would be basic. The location is about 3km from city centre or £5 taxi ride which is fine as it's in a nice part of the city and walking is another option.
Booking in was friendly and simple, the grounds are well maintained and as other posters said the rooms are basic with a simple bed, desk and small bathroom with some towels and toiletries.
So far so good, for €36 a night including a half decent breakfast it was a bargain! The problems begin when you try to sleep.
Each room comes equipped with a heavy duty fire door which bang when closing like mini explosions, all night long, all over the block...bang bang bang bang...this might be ideal accommodation if you are out partying all night, return full of beer and are therefore oblivious to the banging, or if stone deaf.

Room Tip: Get a room in another hotel, or ask for a room where there are no doors in entire block

Reception mostly friendly and helpful, I had a single room, shared kitchen but most of the time it was deserted. Full fitted, with a TV. Room nice, en suite. There is a canteen where breakfast is taken 7.30am to 10.00am. The Queen's Elms is a short walk to many attractions.

Room Tip: The bottom of Ash Avenue was quieter.

I'll usually share a room to keep accommodation costs low but on this occasion separate rooms were needed. The student lodgings at Elm's were therefore perfect as there are plenty of single rooms.

The rooms were small but comfortable and all had an en-suite shower and toilet. The location was good being walking distance (about 2 miles) from the centre. I'd get a taxi or bus from the city if you're carrying luggage though!

The hotel is close to the Ulster museum and the Botanic gardens - the museum was excellent. There is also a sports pub, the Botanic Inn, nearby which is the best in Belfast.

Need to mention the cooked breakfast as well - it was much better than I'd expected.

I'd definitely stay there again if in Belfast with friends or family.
