I came to whites and saw it was very busy but thought I'd chance my arm and see what it's like, i hadn't been in a good few years. I was very impressed. A lot of bar-restaurants let the standards slip when it gets busy, but this wasn't the case. I got the last free table and had a very friendly waitress come and get my sorted within seconds of coming in. The food didn't take too long (another surprise considering how busy it was) and was fantastic!! I had the Steak & Guinness pie and would give anything for the recipe. The pint of guinness I had was tremendous, I've had a pint of the black stuff at most of the trad bars in belfast and quality doesn't vary too much but this was a cut above the rest! Glorious fire blazing away and as i finished my meal a singer/songwriter was just setting up, I stayed for his set and ended up having a brilliant wee night! Highly recommend whites!!
