“Great Value”
Reviewed 29 December 2013

Great Value Hotel and close to all the city centre and night life. Nice fresh room and bathroom. Only one niggle was the noise of the heater (air con unit) in the room. The fan seemed to be stuck on high speed and would not go to low speed, but that aside this was a great place to stay, heading back in 2 weeks time.

We stayed for 2 nights for my 50th birthday in december... it was perfect. lovely clean basic but perfectly functional room, we even had a settee... bog standard rooms as per Premier Inn but we knew what to expect. good bed, clean, lovely towels plenty tea and coffee... excellent freshly cooked breakfast lovely coffee beautiful reception area and restaurant. we paid about £170 for 2 nights bed and breakfast which we felt was good value. Just behind the city hall - great city - friendly people and so much to see and do... we would definitley stay here again. The staff were outstanding they could not do enough for us ...

Room Tip: quiet floor was perfect - our room faced the catholic church opposite.

Stayed at this hotel for the first time on 21st and 22nd Dec and was very impressed by our reception. We arrived about 1hr before check in time and had immediate access to our room. I am let to believe that this hotel has recently been refurbished and is very acceptable. We arrived the next morning for breakfast a few minutes after time and with the help of Graeme we enjoyed a good breakfast. We hope that this will not be our last stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: Stayed in ROOM 814 Great view over Belfast at night. ( may apply to all 8th floor rooms facing stree...

I took my girlfriend here for a few days just before Christmas as it was our first anniversary, I booked it because it was cheap and I didn't have high expectations at all but what can you expect for 29 quid? apparently a lot.

Lobby etc was lovely and provided a nice first impression, staff were helpful, hotel was clearly busy but we got processed quickly and were very surprised with the room. Fantastic room for the price, clean, large, comfortable bed and a brilliant (very new) tv. Bathroom wasn't great, think the sink was a bit damaged and the shower wasn't amazing (plus the way the loo roll was stuffed into one of those boxs was kinda annoying) but hey 29 quid a night people....

Staff were really helpful and shockingly (especially for a budget hotel) put the customer above profit, I went down to get some water and when I asked if they sold bottles bigger than 500ml the bar guy told me not to be thick and handed over jugs of iced water... nice touch.

The restaurant was a bit meh and id give it a pass in the future, the food was ok but my order was mixed up and they had run out of the food I actually wanted in the first place, again the staff were good though. If I returned to the hotel id pass on the food..... giant ice creams in the room was great though, get that

Another issue was parking... its smack in the city center and parking could end up being quite expensive, they don't have anywhere you can park and if you are staying more than a night local options could be kinda expensive, we got lucky, parked right outside the hotel on the street but we arrived Friday night and left early Monday morning so it was free.

Had an issue with the wifi, there was something important I needed to do online on Sunday but the wifi was playing up, staff were helpful and put me through to the it people but it didn't get sorted out and I missed the important thing, I did get the money I spent on the wifi back though... still far from ideal

Anyways, great hotel if you can get the low price and probably worth more than I paid (though don't get any ideas premier inn) if they keep up the prices and level of service I will be back to this hotel without any doubt

I stayed at Premier Inn Belfast City Centre Alfred St earlier this year for a night, when I was in Belfast to meet friends. The hotel was very close to the city hall, which was excellent. I had not stayed in a Premier Inn hotel before, and wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how good value it was. I went out to get a few drinks in the evening and was able to just walk back.

I arrived an hour or two earlier than the normal check-in time but the friendly reception staff promptly checked to see if there were any rooms available, and checked me in. I was really grateful, having had just flown in on an early morning flight.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Highly recommended.
