“Comfortable hotel in a central location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

This is hotel has everything you need for a good city break. You get exactly what you would expect from the Premier Inn group - a clean, modern, spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The reception and bar staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is tucked away down a side street but don't let this put you off as its very close to all the city centre attractions, shops, bars and restaurants but with the added bonus of being very quiet when you need to sleep. Belfast is a great city with very friendly people. Don't miss the Titanic Museum, Crumlin Road Gaol and the City Bus Tour. If you have time, go to the Giants Causeway via the coastal route - the scenery is breathtaking and not too far from Belfast City Centre. Enjoy! ,

This hotel is situated very well, walking distance from city center, railway and bus stations. The staff at the hotel is most helpful and booked our red bus tour for us, Even organized a hotel pickup. The facilities at the hotel was excellent, the price of the rooms very affordable and the best of all was it was a noise free hotel, very aware of creating a peaceful atmosphere for its occupants. I can really recommend this hotel for tourists! The bar and restaurant facilities at the hotel were also excellent.

We went to visit the excellent Titanic exhibition in Belfast and also took the opportunity to stay overnight in the city. We chose The Premier Inn, Alfred Street and it was perfect for our purposes. It is a no frills hotel (but not quite as spartan as Ryanair no frills!) but it's inviting, comfortable, clean, inexpensive - consequently, perfect for our overnighting purpose. There was on street free parking outside the hotel between 7.00pm at night and 8.00am the following morning. It is only a short walk to several good restaurants and pubs in the area and around Great Victoria a Street. This is a good location to stay in the city and next time we're there we'll probably choose this hotel.

This hotel has everything, great food, great staff, great rooms: comfy beds, no sounds at all from other rooms, great pillows. Proximity to city centre a plus but the winning factor were the staff who were in the main very helpful, friendly and approachable. We felt like it was a home from home. The only complaint was from my dad that there were no complimentary newspapers.

Got a £35 room rate for a one night stay in Belfast. We had car and luckily managed to find a spot outside where we could drop off car in parking bay for the night without any charge. Receptionist offered us the option of breakfast and dinner in hotel but we said that as only staying in Belfast one night wanted to try the city centre and she was happy to recommend places to go. Room was typical Premier Inn, comfortable, spacious and beautifully clean. Good location for walking to the major sights in the city centre and close to shopping area.

Great front desk staff, however they had limited knowledge of tours. Hotel doesn't seem to be fully on board when it comes to guiding tourists. This is our second stay with a Premier Inn in Belfast. We were in a different property in August '09. Both stays we experienced challenges with the internet connection. The system is easy enough to log onto, but we had to log back on even when we were advised we did not have to do so. We managed so that was not a big problem. The reasons we would not stay with Premier again are: 1. Too much of a cookie-cutter corporate atmosphere. Two choices for breakfast...take it or leave it. 2. The attitude of the person greeting guests to the breakfast area. I went in and sat down and wanted to wait for my wife to arrive. The host, a young man, asked in a brusque and rather annoyed voice, "Have you paid for breakfast"? I have no patience for this type of attitude. We did not take breakfast on any of the three mornings there. We had good service ordering food the one evening we ate in after a long day.

My hunch is that Premier prides itself on guaranteeing a good night's sleep. I think they need to guarantee a good overall stay. Two times is enough.

Went with my husband and two grandchildren, had a great time, staff really nice and hotel spotless, central to everything also.will be sure to book again, only fault was car parking, but this was nothing to do with hotel staff, just think hotels should have there own parking.
