Premier Inn Belfast City Centre (Alfred Street) Hotel
Ranked #5 of 44 Hotels in Belfast
Certificate of Excellence

I was on regular business trips to Belfast for the first 5 months of 2014. I booked the weekly two night stops on mass and got a great price in the January sale. The Hotel is in easy walking distance of Belfast City Centre and the Train & Coach station in Victoria Street, where a regular coach service serves both of Belfast's airports. Although always very busy, the hotel is a lot quieter then the Premier Inn Belfast cathedral quarter, where all night revellers are frequent. The staff are excellent to their business customers; placing them onto a quite floor away from the holiday makers and remembering an individuals dietary needs. The rooms have a central large flat screen TV with PC & AUX sockets for Laptops and cameras. The bathrooms are clean and the hot water is instance from 5:30 am. - excellent.

Room Tip: The Alfred Street side has great views of the east of the city, but gets street noise, which dies do...

Stayed here for a long weekend (Thursday - Sunday) with partner and son.

location is a strong selling point of this hotel. Europa Bus Station is less than 10mins walk which have a direct link to the airport. City hall, St George's Indoor Market and city centre are all less than 10mins walk also. Walk down at the opposite direction to Ormeau Road and you will find a cinema and numerous pubs / restaurants for a taste of night life in Belfast.

Check in and Check out was a breeze with answers to whatever questions you have.

Breakfast was above average. the usual cooked breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans and mushrooms), fresh fruit and different types of cereals. Tea and coffee with fruit juice

room was a decent size for UK standard with tea/coffee facility, hair dryer and loads of towels. no toiletries though. air conditioning works well and quite. flat screen LCD TV, no sure about the channels because we weren't in the room for long apart from sleep and shower. the bed was comfortable which is a big bonus as a good sleep is much needed with all the sightseeing.

tip - do the Hop on / Hop off City City Sightseening tour as the open top bus takes you to all the sights including Titanic museums, Crumlin Road Gaol, Peace Wall, Shankill Road... etc. bus will even pick you up at the front door of the hotel.

A couple of things marred our visit, but I'd definitely stay here again. 1) There was a fire alarm in the middle of the night --someone trying to collect dishonestly on their peaceful night's sleep guarantee?

2) The keycard machine was broken so we were only issue a single card for our room. When it stopped working it was quite a hassle getting it reprogrammed.

The good stuff: nice breakfast, great location, clean room (if on the small side of what we are used to). The staff were incredibly kind and bent over backwards to do everything in their power to be helpful. This is a very kids friendly place (kids breakfasts are free with adult breakfast) and there were lots of families staying there.

I am extremely pleased to read that our staff were so exceptional throughout your stay, we already know how fantastic they are but it really means a lot to them to be so well recognised by our guests. Great place to stay as a tourist, really close to the centre of town and 10 mins taxi to Titanic Experience. The staff were beyond friendly, surprising our 9 yr old son with a birthday card which absolutely made his day. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for great value and great service.

Good location, staff were chatty and very helpful. Unfortunately we were put in a room that didn't exist (719 - no such room - ends at 718 LOL) problems with the reception computer, drunk set off the fire alarm at 1.30am so the entire hotel was evacuated but this was done extremely well and the staff were very apologetic. We still feel that the Premier Inn do the best breakfast .... EVER!! Unfortunately their evening food isn't up to standard. Overall you can't beat a Premier and this one is a good one!!

Room Tip: In case of fire evacuation - pick a low level room!!

Nice location very near the town, we were on the 4th floor which was fine. The room was ok apart from lots of holes in the curtains it was clean. The food in the restaurant was not wonderful. The fryers broke down and we waited a long time for the food (as I guess they had to cook the new potatoes) staff were friendly and the 2 for 1 offer between 5pm -7pm went down well. Breakfast was really nice, I would stay again if ever im back in Belfast
