We recently at at Deane's twice within a week while in Belfast. The first time was on a Sunday night and everything about dinner was superb. The service was excellent, the fish fresh, the vegetables perfect, the risotto exactly as it should be and the house wine an excellent wine at a very reasonable cost.
The second time, on a Tuesday night, was not quite as good. The food arrived out of order with the mains arriving before the salad and the vegetables arriving well after the mains. The waiter got the order wrong the first time and then disappeared (his role was taken over by the manager, it seemed). The asparagus was perfect but the fish soggy and not crispy. The fries were good but not as a main course.
We'd try it again, but with some reservations.
