A lovely day out walking in this beautiful forest park. One of the walks to the waterfalls was closed but their was an alternative, bit of an incline but certainly worth the effort. It was a beautifully sunny day bluebells still out.

Make the trip

Spent a long weekend at Glenariff forest campsite. Very basic, very isolated but we had a great time. Quiet and very scenic location, real bonus was the little fire pits where we tried with little success to light a campfire in the rain lol. The shower block leaves a lot to be desired and lets it down a lot. First day no hot water, second day hot water fixed but showers giving electric shocks! Reported and dealt with very quickly by the very friendly and helpful forest ranger. The forest walks are spectacular, the waterfall walk was absolutely beautiful but be aware there are a LOT of steps. We did it with a baby buggy and it was HARD work. There is a fabulous restaurant in the forest where the food was so good we ate there twice. The staff are just lovely - very helpful and friendly and their beef panini is amazing! I had it both times it was SO good. Good time all round, highly recommended but be aware the nearest shop is three miles away.

Had a great wee day here. Done the waterfall walk, a little fitness needed for this getting back up again and decent footwear (not pumps) lol. Highly reccommend this for the stunning views of part of our wee country. Lovely restaurant/bar/gift shop at the bottom also with carpark, minutes away from the waterfalls if ur not as able for the trek. But defo a place not to be missed :)

Nice drive up to the park, and pleasant walks within it. Unfortunately the main attraction (for me) was closed: the Waterfall Trail. Still, I got to see another waterfall on another trail, and the trees and hills were beautiful.

One of the loveliest spots of Northern Ireland - Glenariff forest park is a charming site that has some nice walks in the wood. The one I highly recommend id the Falls' walk. You walk downhill for 35-40 minutes all along streams and falls - simply lovely.
Once you get to the bottom of the walk - enjoy a nice coup of coffee in the restaurant.
