Silvercliffs Holiday Park

After reading some Negative reviews I was pleasantly suprrised with our trip to Silvercliffs. We stayed in a 8 berth apartment which was basic bit had all we needed for our stay. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Living Room area was small but suited us as a Family of 4 but feel it would of been a squeeze for 8.

The apartment was basic and could do with some updating was but very clean. My Husband even looked behind the cooker and it was immaculate! Staff responded to an issued raised straight away.

There is a swimming pool on site but there is a charge for this and is not advertised clearly when booking.

Great Location in Ballycastle. Walking distance to local beach, ice cream parlours, gift shops, fantastic play area and fountains for children to play in. A trip down the road to Ballycastle was a cheap whole day outing!

Just back from a stay at Causeway Coast Holiday Park, along with family and friends!

Service absolutely pathetic, when checking in was told nothing, not even where to park-up - just take your pick!

Toilet and shower facilities disgusting with litter strewn over the floor, everything filthy, hadn't seen a mop or cloth in years! Building actually looked derelict, we had to ask the warden if it was the toilets! Needed a code to enter, which even the warden didn't know, as he gave us the wrong code! Showers had black mould and paint was falling off the ceiling! Could not allow our 3 year old to use the facilities for fear of catching something!

Entire campsite was a mess, loads of empty static pitches, with rubble and debris remaining where the caravan had just been pulled off the site and not tidied up afterwards, health and safety issue, friend tripped over wire sticking out of ground almost slicing her foot!!

Play park very run down with health and safety issues again, would not allow child to play here, much to her disappointment!

No shop on site as promised on the web site, nearest one is approx 20 minute walk away, even though reception advise its 5 minutes away!

Overall, we had a really bad experience here, will never be back and would not recommend to others! Waste of money when more luxurious sites in the area are cheaper!

me and my partner and 18 month old daughter were on our first trip together. The swiss lodge looked great on the internet..however after paying 350 pound for three nights we were very disappointed.it was dirty and right at the entrance gates so it was very unsafe for our baby. nothing like the picture showed us.it was very dirty, not well maintained,it smelt very bad aswell.no room for travel cot.no soap, broken worktop, shower hadnt been washed in quite a while.outside areas where not child friendly, either a muddy patch or a road.on the other hand we left 2 hours after arrival with our money bank and the staff were extremely helpful and understanding and give us a full refund.

Room Tip: dont choose the swiss lodge.

My husband and I are just back from staying at Causeway Coast, and we were very disappointed with the lack of on site facilities. The pool rarely opened, and the games room closed at a ridiculously early time,so much so that we decided to leave the Park 4 days early,I have emailed Hagan Holidays, but as yet haven't received a reply.

We have sytayed quite a few times here in different types of accomadation with our granchildren, but the apartment is the best.
Kitchen equiped with everything you need, great big table for dining and 2 bedrooms, one double, which was a bit cramped, knocked knee a few times on the bedpost, and the twin room which was fine, big toilet.
Electric is expensive at £8 a night, but we got it at a good price so I am not complaining.

All spotlessly clean, pool great, you pay extra for this.

Food in the bar, not gourmet but good and the kids enjoyed it.
Not a lot to do within the park, but we were out and about all the time anyway.
Handyman very cheery and helpfull, credit to the park.

We will be back next year.
