“This cottage is a gem!”
Reviewed 4 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

My daughter and I were fortunate enough to be a guest at this cozy cottage. We found it equipped with absolutely everything a person might need or want. The living room is stocked with books, games for young children, movies, as well as literature on local attractions and dining. The kitchen is a dream, and bedrooms beautifully decorated. It also has two bathrooms, a lovely back deck and yard. The owner stayed in contact with us before our visit, left us milk and cookies, and checked with us after our arrival. This was a dream vacation. I recommend this cottage to all who are fortunate enough to stay in Balleycastle.

“My New Go-To in Ballycastle!!!”
Reviewed 31 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Well, this is one of those places that is WAY better than the pictures – and the pictures were great! This is in – hands down – the BEST location. The place is very well maintained and was as clean as an operating room – spotless!!! Sylvia had left a few odds and ends – biscuits etc which was a nice touch. The house was bright, cheerful and utterly comfortable. Sylvia stopped by to introduce herself – VERY nice lady and very informative. From a value perspective, this the best deal in town – it is very well appointed – even has wifi and a clothes washer and everything! It could not have been more perfect and will definitely be staying there again – this is my “go-to” in Ballycastle going forward!

“Spot On”

This is a little gem that we will definitely go back to. Stayed here 31st December 2015 with my husband and my Mum as we were at a family wedding in Ballycastle. The cottage is perfect, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean - one double bedroom and one twin, two bathrooms, nice big garden well maintained, off street parking. Separate kitchen and living room. The cottage is on Sundrive Road which is literally only a few minutes walk into the town centre and near the beach. I think it would be a great place to base yourself if you wanted to explore Northern Ireland, visit the Giants Causeway etc and still be surrounded by a busy village.

“Mr”
Reviewed 27 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Just returned from another great weekend in Ballycastle and stayed at this delightful little property located close to the harbour and just a short walk into the town.

A home away from home with everything you could possibly need, this is a clean well presented and very reasonably priced property in an ideal location.

Thank you Sylvia, we will most definitely be returning next year.

“Fantastic place to stay”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

What a find!! Sylvia was in contact with us about a week before we were due to arrive, asking when we expected to arrive. She confirmed everything we had spoken about in an email. the day we arrived, she rang to say that the property was ready. Lovely to have that contact, rather than just turning up. When we arrived, she had taken the time to leave milk for a brew & juice for the kids - very thoughtful.

The property it's self had everything we could have needed, a good range of pots & pans, proper mugs, a washer & even waterproofs in the wardrobe, plus it was absolutely spotless. There is also cleaning stuff, in case you feel the need!! The garden is lovely & if the weather had been slightly kinder, we would have loved sitting out there. The only issue which we had was the shower, the pressure is pretty low, probably more to do with the water pressure than anything else.

Ballycastle it's self is an absolute gem. The property is a two minute walk away from the harbour, a good chippy, playground & lovely beach. Not to mention a choice of ice-cream shops. The people are friendly and we never felt as if we were paying through the nose for visits. It's handily placed for visiting up & down the coast.

As a family, with two children age 8 & 11, we would definitely recommend both the property & Ballycastle. Well worth a visit. :-)

“Comfortable and convenient”
Reviewed 21 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Just a 2 minute walk from the sea and the Spar supermarket, and close to all the major attractions such as the Giant's Causeway, this I is a comfortable, clean house with off-street parking. Hot water and central heating are in with the price, and there is a second toilet as well as the main bathroom - no bath but a walk-in shower with handrails for anyone who is a bit unsteady. Plenty of basics - towels, cleaning materials - and comfortable beds. No disturbing street noise. If I were to criticise anything, it would be the kitchen utensils - but really that's a matter of personal choice. (I would have liked a cafetière, and a wok!). There was plenty of crockery and cutlery in good, clean condition. Wifi and TV are fine, but it's a pity there isn't a nice view from the window - but then we were so tired from sight-seeing that we probably wouldn't have looked at it! And the shower water pressure is a bit weak but perfectly adequate. But these are petty criticisms - I would not hesitate to book here again.

“A gem of a cottage”
Reviewed 9 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A lovely cottage: warm, comfortable and in an excellent location. It's clear that Sylvia and her family look after it well. Everything was spotless, and everything worked. (Well, the heating cycle was slightly odd, but it was just that it was 12 hrs out.) The bed was comfy (we didn't need the twin room) and storage space plentiful. It was also a bonus to park the car off-road - although it might be tricky with anything much bigger than our hired Golf.
Being just 5 mins from harbour, beach etc. was great for eating out, evening walks and so on. And the fabulous Causeway Coast is very accessible, as are the beautiful glens of Antrim.
A couple of small points: the water pressure isn't brilliant, so showering isn't quick. I imagine that's down to the local water company. And although the kitchen is very well-equipped, I would have liked a way to make a real cup of coffee! (A cheap cafetiere would be enough.) But this is nit-picking. Really, No.7 is a great place to stay.
