We stayed here in July for a Saturday night. My husband and daughter and myself had spent the day on Rathlin Island and had this B&B booked to relax in that night. We were not disappointed. The food was good and home cooked. The atmosphere in the house was just lovely. The owners couldn't have done enough. There was a sing song in the lounge and the owners daughters were part of the entertainment and are extremely talented. We slept very well as the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was exactly what we ordered, there's a great choice. I would recommend this B&B to anyone who is touring the north coast. We would stay again if we head up to that beautiful coast.

We drove up from Dublin after taking the ferry over from Wales. Very long but beautiful drive once we were out of all the small towns. This family knows how to make you feel welcome. We were exhausted and starving!! We had a delicious meal and felt right at home; thankful there was a restaurant on the premises! Our room had a great view across the road to the meadows with the ocean in the distance. Very peaceful and a great way to start our week in Ireland. Our room itself left alot to be desired. It was old and kinda worn out. The bathroom was good size though. Still, we enjoyed this place and felt at home here. Away from touristy spots which we liked. Close enough to Bushmills, Giant's Causeway (don't miss this!). Rope Bridge, etc. We were looking for a feel of the area and the people, not a posh hotel. So we would stay again with this charming Irish family.

Room Tip: Upstairs with a room facing the sea.

Family run superior guest house on the causeway coastal route just out of Ballycastle.
Still quite a distance from the Giants Causeway attraction but closer to the rope bridge site.
Quiet and rural cottage setting with clean and spacious room and evening meals on offer.
Friendly owners always happy to chat and offer advice.
There is also camping facilities on site but have no knowledge of this.

We had booked 2 nights stay at Glenmore Guesthouse, arriving on Fri 13 May and departing on Sun 15 May. My partner and I had decided to take a well deserved weekend break to get away from the stress of the 9 to 5 working week and what can I say, we were not disappointed!! Upon arrival on Friday evening we were greeted by the owners of the guesthouse, who I must say where very pleasant and friendly.

We were then shown to our room and was pleasantly suprised with the warmth and cleanliness of the room. It felt like going into a room in a 5 star hotel, no it was actually better than a 5 star hotel. The room was so spacious with TV (Flat screen on wall) and tea/coffee making facilties. We then went outside to bring in our lunguage when the owner's young son had offered his help and having feeling slighty tired I took him up on his offer.

As we were feeling too tired to travel any further for something to eat, the restaurant in the guesthouse was perfect to setttle the hunger! The food was amazing and I have to admit, it was one of the juiciest steaks I have ever eaten. With the southing music playing in the background and the candle lit dinner we felt so relaxed.
Opposite the restaurant their is a small bar for people who wish to order pub grub. So you do have a good choice here. We then retired for the night after I had a lovely shower!

The next morning we got up for breakfast after having the best sleep off my life (beds are sooo comfortable). We both had went for the cooked breakfast and as the name suggests it was cooked! Not one of these people who just heat it up in the microwave. Everythinig was so fresh and the fry was delicious, I could have eaten another one!

After our first chat with the owner on our evening of arrival we were told that they also offer caravan and camping facilities so we decided to go for a walk and check it out after our breakfast (more so to walk it off). We were really amazed at the size if the site with areas for caravans and tents. They have a toilet/shower block on site for the campers.

Also they have two lovely fishing lakes and the walk around them was so peaceful and quiet. We watched one fisherman real in a whopper, it was great! We also explored the wonderful carvings presented around the grounds which were done by the owner's brother. We then went on our way to explore the nearby towns and attractions.

Later that evening when we arrived back to the guesthouse we decided to eat there again as the meal the previous night was so delicious. While we were being served our food , John (owner/chef) invited us down to the bar later that night as his 2 daughters were playing some Irish Traditional music and what a treat that was!! One was singing and her voice should be on the X Factor!!!! After a few pints of the black stuff and the good craic we retired to bed!

The next morning we did not want to leave the place. it was so peaceful and quiet. we could have stayed another 2 nights!!! We will definetly be returning very soon!! An excellent place and very much reccomended as the hospitality received was brillant!

I stayed 2 nights in Glenmore house on April 21th and 22nd, and what can I say, it was well worth it. From the moment I arrived, I received a warm welcome from the owners of the guesthouse, which was nice. I was then showen to my room and it was lovely, very clean and comfortable. There's also a resturant within the guesthouse, so I had something to eat there. The food was really nice and the service was excellent, recommended if you are to stay. Also the owner's daughters played some irish music which in my book was a big bonus. They were really good, another recommendation if you are to stay at Glenmore. Overall Glenmore Guest House is a beautiful place to stay. Very friendly and welcoming and they would make sure you are well looked after. Would recommend it to anyone. I will no doubt booking in again very soon.
