Staff were so helpful and they are probably one of the best TIC in Northern Ireland in terms of service. Shame about like of information stands.

We found excellent information which helped us plan what to see. We were also directed to a lovely woman who was just starting up a bed& breakfast very close to town. Her name was Liz and she welcomed us into her home and gave us loads of information. Not sure she has a name for it yet but I would recommend it if you would like to meet a very special local lady. She also has a cottage that she rents out, Tandragee Gate Lodge. It is self-catering & currently under repair but she hopes to open it again soon.

This afternoon walking tour of Armagh city with Barbara was most delightful. She explained the
history of the city - especially about the two St.Patricks cathedrals, which we found extremely
interesting. The old jail house - the goal - was also a very special sight for us. We walked along the Mall, visited the museum - and as it was rather a cold and windy day - got warmed up in the
lovely Pub and Bar : The Hole in the Wall, where Barbara invited us to a hot whiskey, which was very much appreciated. We visited the St.Patricks Church of Ireland Cathedral and walked
along the quaint streets taking photographs.
Thank you, Barbara, for a lovely afternoon in the old city of Armagh.

If you are planning to take a break of whatever length to friendly and fascinating Armagh do contact this Tourist Advice Centre. My point of contact, Alexandra, was extremely helpful and provided us with first rate literature.
