We are just back today from the Teepee Valley campsite and the kids are already asking us when are we going back. I have four small kids aged six, four, three and one and therefore we booked to stay in the large yurt. It was absolutely beautiful, from its mosaic lanterns to the embroidered sheets. Honestly it is a thing of beauty. There was a double bed and a day bed where our eldest slept. The other two slept on very comfortable mattresses on the floor and we brought the travel cot for our baby. There was plenty of room and the kids couldn't wait until dusk so that we could turn on the fairy lights which just made it magical. The yurt had its own cooking area with sink and gas stove, although my husband enjoyed cooking on the BBQ provided. An added bonus was that the yurt had its own toilet block equipped with a fab shower that was immaculately clean. The kids enjoyed playing in the kids outdoor area that contained a large 'Connect Four', 'Snakes and Ladders' and Draughts set. There was a huge field infront of the site that had beautiful views over the countryside. The kids enjoyed racing the other kids staying at the park from one end of the field to the other so the husband and I could relax and actually enjoy a cup of coffee. In the evening after the kids had eaten some toasted marshmallows that my husband had prepared over the fire pit, we tucked them up in their sleeping bags and were able to sit out around the fire pit and enjoy a glass of wine and much needed me time. Everything about this stay was amazing and we definitely plan to book again for next year, if the kids can wait that long. A truly unforgettable family experience!

Handy to get to from Dublin. Excellent on-board facilities! Rosie Lee caravan is beautiful. Only downside was that there was no hot water in the actual caravan and we couldnt find a light in the outhouse! Was a perfect weekend adventure if you are looking to explore some baeutiful NI countryside. Owners are lovely.

Hi Niamh, Thank you very much for your kind comments. You are my first review on Trip Advisor, so thank you. I'm glad you found the Rosie Lee to be a lovely wee space to stay in. Perhaps the next time you might try the yurt and enjoy the different atmosphere of canvas. We now have that light bulb changed so trips to the wash/shower room will be illuminated again. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Hope to welcome you back to Tepee Valley.
