“Stunning and a perfect place to stay”

We arrived on a cold and foggy evening to a very warm welcome including a wonderful log fire already burning. The cottage has everything you could want, and more, every detail has been thought through to ensure a peaceful and relaxing stay. All the rooms are beautifully furnished and very spacious, so even when fully occupied there's plenty of room for everyone. We hope to return in the summer and explore the many lovely places to visit in the area. Thank you Kate for all your help.

“Amazing cottage in beautiful location”

Eight family members (from England and Australia) stayed in this beautiful cottage for a week, to base ourselves whilst visiting places where our mother grew up. The cottage was amazing, far better than the photos we viewed when booking. Four bedrooms (1 downstairs, 3 upstairs) all with en-suites suited us perfectly. Beds were comfy, and the rooms had plenty of space and storage. A lovely dining room seated all 8 of us comfortably, as did the lounge. The kitchen is equipped better than most and we cooked up quite a few meals there.

There is no wifi which was good as we spent our time, when we were at home, talking and playing games rather than heads buried in mobile phones.

The cottage is located just outside the village, surrounded by fields. It was so peaceful there. The village people were so friendly and we used the local shops where possible.

“A rural bit of paradise”
Reviewed 5 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Once again we were made to feel at home. Lovely cottage, really lovely the current pictures do not do it justice. We spent our time driving to the nearby towns and villages, also walking near the cottage and taking in the beautiful scenery. We couldn't resist putting a log on the fire each evening, even though we'd spent most afternoons barbecuing in the cottage garden. Would definitely return and I for one welcome not having wifi and embracing nature, conversation, curling up and reading a good book and playing board games. I can't wait for our next visit. Thank you again Kate.

“Spacious, comfortable cottage set in very pretty countryside.”
Reviewed 9 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Goose Cottage is very spacious and well equipped, only lacking Wifi (available close by in the village) and a hairdryer. It is quiet , with very pretty views of surrounding countryside and comfortable beds. Communication with owner was very good.

what a wonderful high spec house,idyllic.area.8 of us stayed with two dogs and had a wonderful peaceful time.......on the minus side, there is no wifi.....and the front gates were not dog escape proof so we had to keep a close eye on them.although it wasnt a problem because you might have seen a car once every hour...aughnacloy,armagh and monaghan over the border are just 7 miles away in different directions so very central .book and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a lovely spot.
