We stayed here over the New Year with Friends ... 4 Adults and 5 Children. Accommodation is really well equipped kids thoroughly enjoyed the spacious house. Very Clean and close to amenities , we did venture out to the maze and got lost in the rain but was great fun. Really enjoyable stay I would recommend for a chilled out break and the owner Catherine is really friendly and welcoming. Thank you Catherine we hope to come again some time :)

We spent 1 week here for a family holiday. 4 adults. 5 children. House is exceptionally well equipped, spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Easily accessible for our wheelchair user. Garden was very spacious and well maintained for the kids to play with locked gates for road safety. Lovely BBQ area. Strong wifi, great TVs and DVD player. High quality bed linen and comfortable beds.
Local attractions are great and very close.
What sets this place apart from many other self catering places is the welcome from the owners Dessie and Catherine. From booking to check out they were efficient, friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble to make our week enjoyable.
We would not hesitate to recommend Newton Lodge to anyone and we are looking forward to returning when we can!

This was by far the best self catering house I have ever rented over the last 30 years. The house is very comfortable with every appliance and equipment you would need. Excellent heating system and BBQ equipment outside when needed.

We had rented the house for a golfing holiday and were ideally located for Royal county Down , Ardglass and other golf clubs in the area. The village had a some good pubs and shops for all the basics.

Great hosts who provided an abundant fruit basket and essentials on our arrival. Extended family visit for the British Senior Golf Championship in Newcastle. Accommodation was second to none with quality fittings and furnishings, Excellent drying room for all clothes and golf equipment following the one day of rain. Under floor heating kept the house at a comfortable temperature. BBQ and outdoor seating for the superb summer evenings.
Extra wide doorways and hall enabled our elderly parents ease of movement and all four bedrooms were extremely spacious. Brilliant design for 8 guests and central location to all the area has to offer.

We were looking for a big house suitable to hold the extended family and this was perfect. Things were extremely clean upon arrival. The owner was friendly and helpful but not invasive at all and left us to enjoy ourselves whilst being available when needed. The grounds of the house are spacious and great fun for young children with bikes and balls - with a secure gate so that they couldn't wander on to the road. Inside the house is great, lots of bathrooms, two big lounge areas, spacious kitchen. Lots of wee extras like tea and coffee and butter and things left out for us which was very kind. We broke a glass and the owners were lovely about it! Would heartily recommend for a non-stress self catering place. And of course the surrounding area is lovely.

Just home after spending 10 days here. had a wonderful holiday. Bungalow excellent, so comfortable, well-equipped, spacious. The accessibility was excellent as we had a family member with severe disabilities so the equipment available made the holiday excellent, relaxing and enjoyable for him. Owners very friendly, helpful. Weather was great so able to get out and about or relax in the property garden. We'll be back.
