Clean, comfortable hotel, food excellent, great service.I would recommend this hotel to all,the location is fabulous, this family run hotel is exceptional. The only noise to be heard is bird song, it is a little bit of heaven.

Just spent a great EASTER BREAK at the Enniskeen Country House Hotel in Newcastle Co Down. Very enjoyable weekend with good food and great staff looking after you. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a short break or indeed a longer stay. If you are in the area call and have a meal you will be made welcome. Edwin@Marie Hurst

Room Tip: ask for a room with view of mourne mountains

A warm welcome and attentive service await guests at this family run country house hotel. My husband and I stayed two nights in mid-May 2014. Our room had a lovely view overlooking the valley and Mourne Mountains beyond. We even had a little balcony that gave us a slice of a water view. The breakfast, served in a lovely paneled dining room with beautiful views, was delicious--a wonderful way to start the day.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that looks out over the Mourne Mountains

My wife and I enjoyed one of our best holiday breaks away at the Enniskeen Country House Hotel. Fabulous service, staff were exceptional, our room with balcony was awesome. We would recommend to anyone who wants a quality break away. We've already booked again for June for our wedding anniversary. Ps. the garden and river walks were tranquil, total bliss!!!! Campbell & Gail

Room Tip: Bring a picnic with you to enjoy down at the river side gardens.

Spent a night, lovely place, very quiet, nice place to stay for a short break, the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly, the weather made the stay even nicer, sitting outside enjoying a nice drink with the sun shining, great base to explore the Mournes. The rooms were very spacious especially room 15 great view.

My husband and I stayed on 24 April for one night We love the Mournes and surrounding area but had never been to this hotel before. Why? We are now asking. Our room - executive - was lovely. Views over grounds and Mournes were fantastic. Room was large and very comfortable. Bed was soo comfortable we didn't want to get out of it the next morning! Dressing room and bathroom with a massive shower (no bath which I didn't miss). We had the short break package which included a 4 course dinner and breakfast. The dinner was lovely - nothing fancy just good home cooking. Breakfast was a lovely Ulster fry for us. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much bother. Sitting on the terrace having a wee drink before dinner was bliss - only the sound of birds and sheep. For a lovely relaxing couple of nights - or longer - I would definitely recommend the Enniskeen Country House Hotel. I will definitely be returning to this little gem in the Mournes.

Mrs and I wanted a drive to Newcastle over the Easter
Holiday and decided to go Easter Tuesday. We thought
We would also give the Enniskeen a try for lunch. Having dined there many times before for dinner we already knew about the quality of the food and excellent service but we had never experienced lunch
There before! On arrival we discovered that as well as
An extensive lunch menu which would be served in the beautiful dining room they also had a bar menu. wife
Said she fancied trying the fresh kilkeel landed haddock and chips with mushy peas and I also decided to try it as well. We were not disappointed! The fish was
Really fresh and pearly white whilst the batter was really light, very tasty indeed washed down with a drink from their bar. The decor is a little dated but very in keeping with the ambience of the hotel. the staff were
Lovely as usual.
