“Peace and quiet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

If you want a quiet, peaceful, relaxing break, but still be close to all the attractions of the town of Enniskillen, then this is the place for you. Spotlessly clean with great food and friendly (hard- working) staff. Beautiful gardens and lovely views.

Room Tip: Room 17 has beautiful views of the Mourne mountains and surrounding fields.

We had a large, comfortable room with beautiful view of the immaculate grounds and the sea. This is a lovely "home", with large guest sitting room, indoor and outdoor spaces for drinks, breakfast, tea. Views are gorgeous, staff is extremely helpful and friendly and food is delicious. We tried to add a fourth night!

We stayed in the executive double room no 15 and the panoramic views were superb. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food excellent. We enjoyed the famous Mourne Honey Afternoon Tea today and were not disappointed - delightful. This place is enchanting and we feel refreshed and relaxed. What a little gem this place is. Would thoroughly recommend it. It is like stepping back in time with all the good things that invokes - we felt so special. Thank you.

Room Tip: Room 15 well worth the extra for the bed and the views.

We stayed in the Enniskeen at Easter 2014 and had a lovely time. It truly was a home from home with home cooking and comfortable accommodation. This hotel does not advertise itself enough as I had never heard of it until a friend told me about it when I was looking for somewhere to stay for a couple of nights at Easter. The hotel is situated just far enough out of Newcastle but with stunning views and lovely grounds. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and our room was first class. Food was excellent in fact we did not dine out anywhere else and had afternoon tea on one of the afternoons - you cannot stay in the Enniskeen and not have afternoon tea. Would highly recommend this hotel. Phyllis W

Room Tip: Not sure as this is a small family run hotel and I would imagine all the rooms are of the same stand...

The reception from staff upon arrival was very welcoming. My room was ready and I was given the wi-fi code. I was happy with the room and stunned by the wi fi. Having stayed recently at a hotel where the wi fi was dreadful, this was very welcome. I had my online work finished in minutes, leaving plenty of time to do what I was there for...to relax. The hotel is not modernised, but it is welcoming and has plenty of character. The views of Mt Donard are stunning to the rear, and the walk down to the river and garden is very pleasant. I can't comment on the food as I was dining elsewhere, but I had a great sleep. It's only a 10 minute walk from town, but it feels like it's deep in the country. Very enjoyable.

We stayed in the Enniskeen from 21st to 25th July. Having dined in the hotel for many years and thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine we were not disappointed by our first stay. The deluxe double room and the single room had stunning views over the mountains and were very well furnished, spacious and comfortable. Both ensuite bathrooms were excellent in particular the deluxe bathroom. The wi fi, tea and coffee facilities were excellent. The food was of a very high standard with a good choice on the menu. The staff were friendly, helpful, courteous and added to our stay. The grounds around the hotel are beautiful and the Enniskeen sits in an idyllic location very close to Newcastle. This hotel deserves more than its two star rating and we will definitely be returning for another stay. Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel in a quite beautiful setting. All the staff were delightful and always very helpful. The rooms were pretty standard really but the view over the mountains is fantastic. Restaurant is nice and the food is excellent
