We have stayed at the burrendale this weekend and what a weekend we picked. The weather is glorious and have been able to sit outside in the beautiful beer garden outside.
The food is abso FANTASTIC but what I really want to point out is the staff.During our stay Friday and Saturday there were two weddings two large weddings and along with people staying in the hotels and people coming for lunch or dinner the place was full to capacity and the staff never once stopped for a breather, they were on top of everything at all times and still had time to smile and bid you time of day.
They run a tight ship in the burrendale and it's a pleasure to stay here, will deffo be back for the 5th time.
Love this place and think you will find it hard to get better food anywhere.Breakfast fab also.

Room Tip: You will pay a bit dearer but our room looked over the mountains.Spectacular looking out every morni...

Have been at several weddings here and had a few meals, but, having been there for a meal again the food was excellent and not overly priced but the girl who served us didn't know how to laugh or take part in conversation. She wasn't very attentive to our table so we had to ask other table staff to help us at times. we asked her for the desert menu and after 10 minutes we again had to ask another member of staff for one. greatly disappointed in THIS waiter but the food was good.

Just back from a last minute break and I felt the need to write a review. On arrival the reception staff could not do enough for us considering we were early for check in. They gave us our room numbers to allow us to avail of the leisure facilities. I would also like to comment on the staff, whether reception staff, spa or restaurant; they were all very friendly and took time to have a few words especially with my four year old daughter. This was something that we were very appreciative of. The rooms were excellent and the food in the restaurant was top notch. I would definitely recommend this hotel especially to families with small children. Thank you Burrendale.

Went here for a weekend away with the girls. Rooms were alright! Pool area was nice. Staff were rude, unhelpful, the restaurant manager was the worst of the lot, very dismissing! Food was average! Didn't feel looked after at all, definitely not be back to this establishment again.

I went to burrendale in May with my girlfriends for a hen party.

We arrived well before check in time, smelly and disheveled from our camping the night before and the reception staff were incredibly accommodating in letting us check in early at no extra cost.

The shower was great, the room was brilliant and the pillows were the most amazing pillows I had ever slept on. Our room faced the car park but this wasn't an issue. It was a great size for myself and my friend. It was a good temperature too.

Included in our package was a spa treatment, dinner and breakfast - it was and amazing deal. The spa treat was out of this world, the whole experience was so relaxing - the therapists were lovely, the rooms private and the massage was perfect.
We got a dip in the jacuzzi and sauna, these were the only disappointing parts - we expected a thermal spa and actually they were very open, sharing their space with the swimming pool which was full of families. No problem if you're a family. Not private enough for girly conversations!

Dinner was incredible. Starter, main and dessert were delicious and the portions were generous! We waited a little while for everything, which was the only downside.

We enjoyed a nights entertainment with a frank Sinatra tribute who had us all up and dancing. The atmosphere was very relaxed with a great mix of people.

The breakfast the next morning was delicious. Again very relaxed and a great selection of food to have in comparison to other places I've stayed. Great coffee too!

Would highly recommend to families and friends alike for a relaxed but fun hotel.

Stayed here for two nights, for one evening meal and breakfast both mornings. We booked here because off location and, the fact it had a gym/spa. The room was lovely, couldn't fault it. It had a beautiful view off the mtns. We took our evening meal on the first evening. The starter and the sweet was very tasty, however the main course was terrible. We waited for 45 mins for it to be served to us, and believe me it wasn't worth the wait!
The next morning we went to the gym. The smell off the swimming pool was really quite strong and the gym looked like we were stepping back in time. The machines were not only old, some off which didn't work and most were really rusty. There seemed to be only one fan working as well, but that was above the broken machines. Within 15 mins off being in the gym my face started to itch and burn. To cut a long story short, it was the chemicals used in the swimming pool which irritated my skin. This ruined my stay, I was looking forward to using the spa.
