This is a great hotel with great staff and great food. Just back from a three night stay with my wife and daughter. Checked in Friday evening and the reception couldn`t do enough for us, but although the room was clean and well furnished it was extremely small. We ate out that night reception booked us a taxi without any fuss, next morning we had a great breakfast before heading to the air show. Saturday night we used our inclusive meal ticket and had wonderfull food in sumptuous surroundings, we really enjoyed the experience. As we enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to stay and dine in the hotel on Sunday evening, BIG MISTAKE ! After being repeatedly asked were we dining while we had a few drinks before dinner we were shown to a very old section of dining area the chairs were very uncomfortable and I looked straight into a wall, it was packed with other diners and very noisy .Mean while the area we had been in the evening before sat almost empty with stunning views of the mountains. Just as our starters were about to arrive I bit the bullet and decided to complain to the head waitress who promptly moved us into the lovely castle dining area.
Its a great hotel but attention to detail slipped that night, the girls had salmon which although nice was over done, I had a steak burger which was just tasteless. on both nights we had spent quite a bit of money on wine it was great ! The next morning breakfast was as usual the same head waitress was about, she never even said good morning !

Had an amazing weekend for our wedding. We had rave reviews from all of our guests about the food and service. Highly recommended for a wedding - or even just a regular stay. The facilities are great, with some amazing views of the mountains.

Room Tip: A view of the mountains - or ask for a balcony room on the top floor.

We had the pleasure of staying at the end of July,we hosted a wedding and then stayed on for some much needed rest.
The standard of service and attention to detail from the start was excellent, our every request from dietary requirements, to rooms for all the guests needs were met with very good customer service.
We were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff, our rooms were clean and spacious and met all our needs. The restaurant was welcoming at all times and the food was excellent both at breakfast and in the evening. We enjoyed the spa facilities, the pool and some beauty treatments,we are home again and would have no hesitation in recommending this as a great place to stay for all ages.

Room Tip: all rooms were excellent

Stayed on Friday night for the air show the next day. We booked one of the executive suites. Fantastic view of the Mourne mountains .Room was gorgeous and so was the food and service. The entertainment was good on Friday night with the dj playing and singing some old favorites more catered for the senior couples. Will definitely go there again.

Stayed for one night. Reasonable sized triple classic room which overlooked the mountains, clean and bright bathroom. Good over the bath shower. Double bed a little too narrow for me. Bar staff were very friendly but some of other staff seemed a little bit 'perfunctory'.

Breakfast was great - with lovely views of the mountains and a good selection of quality, nicely cooked food. Their wheaten bread in particular was to die for. Although didn't use it, the spa and country club looked quite nice.
