Possibly Ireland's best-located library. Right in the middle of Newcastle with stunning views of the Mourne Mountains. It's small, friendly, relaxed and efficient. The staff are wonderful - huge knowledge of books and authors, and always keen to help. There are enough computers - including some for kids only. Plus, there's a lovely gallery displaying the work of local artists, and comfortable seating for reading books or papers. Worth a visit.

Nice little library, helpful staff good turn over of stock. Small car park. Good views of the Mourne mountains with Slieve Donard to the foreground. Based on main street on the bank of the Shimna river
