My family and I are regular visitors to the Rowallane gardens and never tire of its appeal. Beautiful walks around walled gardens , herb gardens all provide what is needed for a relaxing day out with nature all around.

Rowallane is quite a small property but has a large area of woodland, some fields and attarctive gardens. It has some paths but it is very pleasant to just wander around through the trees and explore. The rock garden and walled gardens are worth a visit. Found the herb garden fascinating. The house itself is fairly simple but has a lovely, airy feel . The new coffee shop is particularly attractive with a patio area and good views of the gardens from inside.
The staff are all very helpful and welcoming.

National trust, so cheap if you're a member, otherwise a bit on the expensive side for a short visit. Nice spacious gardens and open woodland with some good old trees.
