Review of Bridge B&B
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 Dec 2017
This is a nice b&b in an excellent location just across the bridge and within a couple of blocks of the walled city. Since it is in an urban location there is no off street parking lot. Once the parking is explained you can move your car to a very inexpensive city lot nearby and leave it for a day or two. The walled city and the Bogside are all within easy walking distance. It's frankly a relief for an American driving in Ireland to be rid of the car for a while.
Often reviews talk about the size of bedrooms etc. What I think here is important is what one can learn about the history and experiences of the Irish people over the past several decades and the past several centuries. Derry affords that opportunity. And if one is fortunate enough to meet someone like the owner, Ursula, and her husband, Shawn, who grew up here it is a wonderful experience. The time I was able to spend with them is one of the best travel experiences of my lifetime. Thank you both so much for what you shared with my friends and me.

Beautiful b+b in the centre of derry. We stayed in a lovely family room which was massive and lovely and clean. The owners are so nice and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We checked out at 11 and waited in the family room and had lovely tea and cookies provided for us while we waited on the shops opening at 1pm so thank you to everyone at the bridge we will definitely return

Hi Anne-Marie,
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to have you all stay with us and I'm sure the local shops were happy too due to the amount of bags you had. I hope you got home safe and look forward to welcome you back soon. The kettle is always on for a wee cup of Tea.

The location was excellent for exploring Derry by foot, you could walk anywhere very easily from the the B&B. It was very clean, warm, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. You have the option of a traditional hot Irish breakfast or a beautiful spread of continental choices. I would recommend staying here without hesitation and will definitely stay there again if ever in Derry again!

My family (2 adults and 2 four year olds) stayed here a night and had a warm, friendly and comfortable experience. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home, we had a ample sized spotlessly clean room for the four of us and the location of the b&b is a five min walk into the walled part of the city. Nice and easy stroll for the kids. Highly recommend for a family as owners were brilliant with my two girls and made them feel really comfortable, which to me is a huge plus. As well as the laundry service they also provide!! We will be recommending to friends in the future.

Located just accross bridge into town, minutes walk to the centre of town and walls, overlook the river and peace hands accross river statue. Lovely rooms, high ceilings huge bay window in our room with lots of space and desk and two chairs to look out the bay window with coffee.
Great breakfast.

Spent a night stay in this wonderful B&B with 19 students and found the place to be absolutely perfect.
Even with a large group the owner Ursula was fantastic, showing me every room, each one better then the last and making the students feel incredibly welcome.
In addition to this Ursula and her staff were incredibly helpful with facilitating a large group, responding to emails and ensuring the booking went well.
The location is perfect with the city centre just four minutes walk away and with coach parking just two minutes away.
As noted I was shown all the rooms in advance as Ursula wanted me to make sure that everyone one would have a great stay and I can say that every room was impeccably clean, as was the rest of the building.
The breakfast was equally fantastic with a wide range of choices and also catering to any dietary requirements.
The price was very affordable, especially in comparison to other Derry based accommodations which are no where near as a good.
During my work I bring large groups of students on field-trips throughout Ireland and can honestly say that this B&B has been the best accommodation I have stayed in with a group. I could not recommend it enough and can say for certain I will be returning to this hidden gem of a place for years to come.
