Stayed here for one night because it was close to the airport and we had an early morning flight and a hire car to return. On arrival there was a large wedding reception in full swing and these are probably the two main sources of custom to the Waterfoot. I cannot really see another occasion I would want to stay there (?)
Room looked a bit dated and management should be thinking about refurbishment.
Only met one member of staff at reception but she was very helpful and friendly (Emer - thanks).

Room Tip: Try elsewhere ??

I stayed at this hotel with my Mother in August 2014 for one night. We found the location to be perfect as we had a car, and the hotel offered free parking. The hotel offered a free one way taxi into the city which was very good, and the taxi back cost only £5. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly and we were very satisfied with the rooms. The beds were quite hard so we may have struggled if we had stayed for more than one night. We ate at the restaurant during the evening. The food was nice but would probably eat in the city if we were to stay at the hotel again. I would recommend the hotel for visitors to the city and may return.

We held our wedding reception here on Saturday, 9th August 2014. Having booked the wedding 2 years previous to this, we had the pleasure of dealing with Lauren from day one. Lauren is an absolute asset to the hotel, she is calm and professional, and exceedingly patient when dealing with a bridezilla with 20000 questions and as many changes of mind! Nothing was too much trouble, and knowing that she was in charge of everything really eased my mind when trying to arrange a wedding in Northern Ireland while living in Kent!
With regards to the day itself, everything went off without a hitch and we we're made to feel like the only people who had ever got married! Liam and his team worked TIRELESSLY to provide an evening to remember. The food was PHENOMENAL - we had a choice of Turkey and ham or salted chilli pork loin, served with roasties, mash and veg. We've had so many comments on how wonderful the food was! It was delicious. The staff were attentive and polite, and the room was set up exactly how I'd pictured it in my mind, they really made my vision come true! Our table plan had been printed and on setting up the room Liam had noticed some changes from the table plan to the place names - he was totally on top of it and made sure to check with us that the differences were correct, which was fab! The ambassador suite is lovely - a real treat which finished off the day nicely...
We had an amazing wedding day and Lauren and Liam were a massive contributing factor to this - I would not hesitate to recommend both the hotel and them for anyone thhinking of planning a wedding. If you want it done with the utmost professionalism and you don't want to worry about a thing, this is your place!!

A great venue on the outskirts of the city, with good food and friendly staff. The hotel will give you a free taxi voucher for one journey into or out of the city centre, but you have to ask for it.

The room was spacious and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable. The free Wi-Fi was trouble free.

Room Tip: Rooms further away from the lobby are quieter, especially if there is a function on in the basement function room.

Family meal with two young kids. Wife got chill pita pocket which was very hot and soggy.
Overall bill 47 quid.
Average quality grub in a lovely restaurant which is bright and modern.
Staff very good and speed of service was spot on. There are cheaper places in Derry but wouldn't rule out another visit.
