“Excellent gem Bed & Breakfast in Derry, Truly Amazing Experience.”
Reviewed 29 September 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for one night last night with my partner and our 11 month old son. Came up for the Wedding Fair, Fayre in The Square. An amazing city and this B&B was truly an amazing experience for us. Many B&B's throughout Ireland could learn from this place. Thomas and his family were extremely friendly and efficient. As in the other reviews I can verify that Thomas truly knows his local history and has a top class knowledge of his local area and all it's surrounding areas and what's to offer and see. He should be working for the tourist board cause he really does know his stuff! Breakfast was spectacular and I have to admit the 'Ulster Breakfast' kept us going all day. Needless to say the room was spotless and modern with some very contemporary modern art not only in the rooms but throughout the B&B. I really liked the decor and display of local art. Our car was secure and safe stored in a garage over night in the B&B. We arrived late the night before and Thomas made sure we arrived safe and sound and kept in touch with us during our 4 hour journey from Carlow to Derry to make sure we arrived safe in the night. Very impressive service and product on offer in this B&B. Price was extremely reasonable too and we felt we got excellent value for money. If your coming to Derry please consider staying there. We certainly will be back without a shadow of a doubt. He has a good selection and configuration of rooms and the standard was better than most hotels we've stayed in ever. A gem this place!

This was our second stay and Rose Park House and it was every bit as fantastic as the first time around. We were warmly welcomed by Mary and by Ben, the family dog. The room was clean and neat and comfortable, and the heated towel rack in the bathroom is a real luxury! We had a choice each morning of a cooked Irish breakfast or a continental, and a selection of cereals, yogurts and quick breads were also provided on the sideboard.

Rose Park House is a short walk from the city center and the sights of Derry. Be aware, however, that the walk to town is downhill, so therefore, the walk back is uphill and it can be a little steep after a busy day of "doing" Derry. Additionally, Rosemount Avenue is quite a busy street, so if you have sleep issues, you might want to request a room away from the front of the house.

Rose Park House is a lovely place to stay and the Gallaghers are warm and welcoming. We highly recommend it!

First a big thank you to the Gallagher family for making our brief stay in Derry(just one night in August) so memorable! We really enjoyed the lovely house and garden and aboveall, the warm, welcoming atmosphere that reigned there.Location-wise it was great-just a short walk to the centre once we were informed about the shortcut through the park (though took a taxi back after savouring the delights of several friendly pubs and good music!) Whilst getting these instructions,we were treated to a fascinating insight to the history of Derry by our host,Tomas, which carried over into an engaging conversation over a delicious breakfast the next day.It really whet our appetite to visit the various museums and different parts of this proud, noble city,so much so,we were late getting to our following destination,But it was worth it.We would have loved to have spent more time there, but hopefully we´ll be back one day. When we do so,we´ll be sure to book this delightful b and b again.Highly recommended! This is a lovely b&b to stay in. Very clean, modernly furnished and comfortable bed, had a great nights sleep. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning served by friendly staff. One of the nicest b&bs I have stayed in for a long time, great value for money, would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our few days here. Our hosts were very welcoming and most obliging. A freshly cooked breakfast with all you could eat. The accomodation was bright and cleanand spacious. Within walking distance of the walls of derry and city centre and plenty to do and see. The tour of the city walls is a must! We would gladly return.

This is a lovely B&B in a clean, well cared for home. Good breakfast, served to order. Thomas and his family couldn't have done more to make our stay better than they did-we really enjoyed our 3 nights there and would gladly return.
