We are having difficulty reconciling other reviews of this property with our own experience. On arrival it was obvious that nobody left their car own the road overnight - other local residents' cars were locked behind heavy steel gates. Although we had reserved locked parking at the property we were told initially that they had no such reservation for us. After robustly contesting this finding, the parking was found, but I was not allowed to park the car myself - I had to leave the keys for the owner to park when he arrived home.
When we met the owner (widely reported to be genial and friendly) his manner was reserved to the point of cool, and we were asked to change our breakfast booking made earlier to fit in with other guests! Whether this cool was connected to the parking issue or some other reason was not clear.
The room was nicely decorated, but there was no shelf space in the bathroom, and NO TEA MAKING FACILITY.
Breakfast was par for the course, but not outstanding.

Room Tip: I have indicated that the room was loud because it was louder than I would expect a suburban street...

Brilliant! Service was lovely, en suite was excellent with temperature guide for shower, had towels shampoo and body wash all in there. Breakfast was great and there was plenty of it. Can order breakfast the night before or in the morning, lots of fruit and cereal to help yourself to or full cooked breakfast if requested. Quiet area and an easy walk into town, the walk back can be a bit harder, it's up quite a steep hill! Call to book, it was £65 through online booking site but got a double room for £35, very pleased!

Me and a group of my family and friends stayed here for my hen weekend. What can i say this bed and breakfast is fantastic we were made feel at home by Thomas and his family who helped us find places to eat and go out. And also helped us with anything we needed. Breakfast was lovely nothing like a fry for breakfast. The rooms are clean and well decorated and the beds were really comfortable. Defiantly will stay here again in the future.

Thanks for a great stay from Donna Amanda and the girls.

We stayed here the night before my wedding and it was fantastic. Very homely and welcoming and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.
Breakfast was also excellent and the fact we had photographers and flower men running about was no problem.

This is a very good choice out of the more expensive city center. Eating options are few but it's a pleasant walk (down, not so much up) through a park and around the cathedral to restaurants and pubs. The B&B is very comfortable, modern, clean, and functional. My room was small but ingeniously designed so there was space for a large and comfortable bed, a modern bathroom/shower, space for luggage, even a desk. Wifi was very good, always on and fast. Breakfast was tasty and abundant, with good coffee. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, and a mine of information on the city and the area. Only two minor drawbacks. One, which the owner can do nothing about, is some traffic noise during the day (the night was peaceful). The other is the relatively high volume of the owner's music. This is a small building, and a lower volume would add to the guests' enjoyment. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay very much. Recommended!

Room Tip: The back of the building would have less traffic noise.
