Troy Hall Bed and Breakfast

I Stayed 2 nights while working in the north west. After struggling to find a decent room in the local hotels, i came across Troy Hall. And what a find! A charming old victorian house retaining many of its original features in a lovely setting only a 2 minute walk from the local! Ann and Michael were superb hosts and looked after me well. My room was spacious, beautiful and spotless and as a result of my stay if i was to find myself looking for hotel accomodation again in Derry, i'd go for Troy Hall every time. I really enjoyed the relaxed peace and tranquility that the property offers. Couldn't recommend it enough. The only improvements i would reccomend to Ann and Michael would be to have a breakfast menu available to browse - maybe there is one i just didn't see it, i would have been nice to see what else may have been on offer (i opted for the full irish and toast both mornings). And freshly squeezed orange juice rather than orange concentrate would have it given it that final touch. My teapot was on the table for me arriving down each morning, piping hot too! A 5* B&B experience that gets 9.5/10 for me. I hope to be back!

Hell Michael,
Thank you for your very kind review. Normally we give our guests whatever they like for breakfast that's why we ask the night before, we also cook each breakfast fresh for the time requested.
Look forward to your next visit.
Best regards,
Ann and Michael.

We got 5 - star treatment when we stayed in this amazing B&B this week and as a coeliac I was blown away by the attention to detail in providing me with everything I might need. Gluten-free biscuits on arrival, special cereal, toast and sausages for breakfast made this the best coeliac-friendly experience I have ever had. The house is lovely, the rooms are fabulous and Michael looked after us so well. Go, stay and enjoy - we will be back!

Room Tip: Belmont Suite was lovely

We enjoyed a very happy overnight stay at Troy Hall. Comfortable room with lots of extras and beautiful dining room where we ate a lovely breakfast in the circular bay window. Very hospitable hosts, good food and peaceful location though near enough to city centre and sights. Would recommend!

We stayed in the Belmont suite at Troy Hall. It was like a condo! THere was the king size bed, a desk, a bay window with couch table and tv, and two twim beds. The bathroom was brand new, and everything was clean. They even gave us robes and slippers to use! Lovely people and wonderful breakfast. It was cheaper than cheap franchise hotels. If I ever visit that area again, I will be sure to stay at Troy Hall.

We had a great stay! Michael was so understanding when we had to check out a day early. They allowed us to check in really late at night and check out really late too. We loved the breakfast and our room was perfect. Location was ideal for us because we had rented car and they had parking available. We want to go back to London Derry just to stay at Troy hall.

We arrived early to Troy Hall in freezing temperatures and snow. Our room was ready, but it was very cold, they supplied us with a small space heater, unfortunately with such an old house you could feel the cold blowing through the windows, so we closed the drapes in hopes of warming up the room, we put extra blankets on the bed and the next morning we woke up to the same chilly room. We left for the day, and fortunately, by the time we arrived back that evening our room was finally warm enough that we didn't need extra blankets or coats. From that point on we enjoyed our beautiful large room with modern bathroom, everything was very clean and well kept. The breakfasts were great all 3 days, and they even supplied us with a conversion plug-in for our USA Lap Top and power cord. We would highly recommend Troy Hall to anyone traveling in the Derry area.

Hello Wancutt, Oregon.
Thank you for your 5 star review.
Apologies that the room was not as warm as normal, it was unusually cold and windy outside and we should have adjusted the timer earlier, thank you for being so understanding on this matter.
Delighted that the remainder of your stay was comfortable once we got the timer right.
Best regards,
Michael..

Lovely overnight stay at Troy Hall! Gorgeous building and rooms and we were made to feel so welcome by the owners Ann and Michael. Couldn't fault anything and we felt it was really good value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Troy Hall to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Derry.
