My family stayed two nights in this beautiful home and I can't say enough wonderful things about it.
The location was wonderful to allow you to sight see, easy access to stores/ eating establishments and as a runner I loved that the river trail was right across the street which allowed me a safe area to run as a female. I was once never worried to go out by myself and run or grab a few items I needed from the store.
The rooms were beautiful and so spacious. Everything you could need for comfort or necessities was right at your fingertips. The beds were very comfy and the temperature was perfect. Major things with me while sleeping that usually are not as grand at this in a B&B. Bathrooms were extraordinary with perfect shower temperature and pressure. Loved the little details they put in your room to make your trip even nicer such as maps of the area, entertainment guides, coffee, snacks, bathrobes and slippers and they even had a small refrigerator with waters and milk. Also was allowed to hold your items for leftovers.
The home was gorgeous with wonderful common areas, but I never heard a peep in my room from other guests. The garden was so nice to be able to sit out and read or drink your coffee/ tea. I had to get pictures of the flowers before I left. Anne and Michael met every request we could have dreamed for breakfast without a blink and even pushed us to get more and make sure we got the true Irish breakfast (at least once).
The true Gems and hear of Troy Manor are Anne and Michael. You can tell the truly love this home and running a B&B. Their spirit is contagious even when you are tired from driving in you can’t not smile and get excited for the day. Such lovely people, I enjoyed talking to them and learning about their home (I asked), city, and every recommendation they gave was exactly perfect. Michael heard us talking about driving to a place and had a map ready for us before we left. They are wonderful hostesses knowing when you need something; but strange I never saw them unless I needed them. You can tell they thought a lot about the renovation to make their home more than a B&B, but a home away from home and continue to think about travelers needs. I have never been in a B&B or hotel that met my every want and even those I didn’t know I wanted until they were there (like the cookies in the room when we arrived). Such wonderful details….I can’t keep saying the word wonderful because that is what it is WODNERFUL!!
