After traveling 10 days in Ireland, we had a one night reservation at this fabulous B & B. Ann and Michael couldn't be nicer and the guest rooms are beautifully decorated by the talented Ann. We were fortunate enough to spend time (and wine) with Ann to get all of our questions answered about the Irish culture. We loved her decorating style so much that she directed us to a couple of stores where she shops. Well, Janey and I bought so much stuff that we had to buy extra suitcases to haul all of our loot home. Thanks Ann for the great tips! Unfortunately, we only had one night here....we would definitely come back.

Our 3 nights at Troy Hall were most enjoyable. Ann welcomed us like we were family and showed us to a lovely large room with a comfy bed. The house is full of history and beautifully decorated but in a most comfortable way. Breakfasts were delicious - prepared to order. Michael was most helpful with information about golf courses and offered to 'tumble dry" our wet golf gear! Troy Hall is about 30 minutes walk along the very nice riverside walk to restaurants and the historic centre.

After months of research I persuaded my family that we should stay at Troy Hall B & B. This was because my husband believed that his grandparents once lived near Troy Park and that there was ample parking, so that we could leave our car there while exploring Derry.
The 2 rooms we were given were so spacious and comfortable, beautifully decorated in a Victorian style which complimented Troy Hall. Both rooms had lovely views of Derry, one over the River Foyle. Breakfast was excellent and served in a wonderfully Victorian room.
Getting to Derry was easy by taxi or walking. Near Troy Hall was a chemist, ATM and hotel, where we had our evening meals, as we did not want to go back into Derry at night. Derry as the City of Culture 2013 was fantastic. All the beautiful flowers, clean, friendly and welcoming. We just wished we had spent another night and day there.
Cannot recommend Troy Hall more.

Hello Habarisana2013, Nairobi,
Thank you for your kind review.
The district center, a minutes walk form Troy Hall, provides all you need in relation to services, dining and entertainment so if you don't feel like going into town its all on your door step.

The first thing you get when you drive up to Troy Hall is a welcome from Ann that seems like she is welcoming her family member home. Michael isn't far behind with the same kind of welcome. What a wonderful feeling after a long day of driving or sightseeing. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The house is in a residential area so it is very quiet and peaceful. You will feel like royalty as you sit in your room and gaze out over the beautiful manicured lawn. What a great place to stay!

Hello Peakbee, California,
Many thanks for your five star review and for describing Troy hall as a "great place to stay". We like to think we get a little of both worlds that is a quiet, peaceful and comfortable stay but close to the city center for the entertainment, culture and nightlife.
Best regards,
Ann and Michael.

What a great B and B. Staying here you can imagine you are in the country but leave the park and you are 5 mins from the centre of town.

The house is beautiful and our bedroom, the Culmore, was decorated with great attention. There are so many thoughtful little extras, it is the right mix of homely but boutique.

The garden is very pleasant and the view from our room was splendid.

Troy Hall offers great value for money and we are already looking forward to the next time we can come and visit.
