“Delicious at Del Mondo”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

Great to be able applaud a local business which makes your city a better place to be. Terrific, almost continental atmosphere and warm, welcoming staff. But foremost - delectable food with a variety of daily specials - and the best fish and chips in town.

“Local food, very well prepared, fun atmosphere”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

This is a real gem. Located in Derry's Craft Village (inside the walled city area), it attracts people of all ages and tastes. The owner uses local ingredients and makes absolutely great soups, quiches, desserts, pizza and other entrees. Servers are typically young people with nice energy. The prices are great, and the comfy, semi-funky atmosphere makes this a treat to visit. We ate there 3 times in 2 days -- lunch and dinner!

“A cosmopolitan gem in the heart of the Walled City”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

The staff are quirky, tattooed and interesting. The background music is as diverse as a Quentin Tarantino film soundtrack. The food is clever, international and damn tasty. The clue is in the name - this café/restaurant takes its inspiration from all over the world. Fittingly, Café del Mondo's clientele includes travellers, backpackers and international language students. I often visit Café del Mondo at lunch time and avail of their 'Daily Lunch Special' (approximately £7) which can range from cevapici (Balkan), to an oriental stir-fry (Asian), to a roast beef dinner (British). Perhaps the best thing about this quirky eatery is it's fresh coffee and homemade artisan breads. Café del Mondo is also licensed and has free Wi-Fi.

“A place to spend a day...or two...”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

Fabulous staff, atmosphere, service and food. Home-made bread and spectacular soups. Selection of 3-4 fresh and tasty salads. No soy milk but the coffee's goo without. Great place to meet friends and get out of the wind while you get your caffeine fix.
