A group of us were attending a function in Derry and decided to stay at the Everglades for the night, as an alternative to the hotel our function was being held at. Definitely the right choice! From start to finish to our stay was fantastic. Greeted by very friendly staff on reception at check in. Lovely lobby and bar area, great for relaxing by the fire with a drink in hand. Rooms were perfect. Comfortable and cosy yet spacious enough for four girls all frantically trying to get ready for a night out. The transport arranged to take us to our function in the city centre was a lovely surprise. On our return we found the bar staff to be very courteous and friendly, even at 3 in the morning!

Will definitely book to stay here again. Looking forward to having the opportunity to dine at the hotel next time

We stayed at The Everglades last week. Took the kids for the Easter break. From the minute we checked in we were made to feel so welcome. Leeanne at reception was so friendly, the perfect ambassador for The City of Culture.

Our room was stunning, overlooking the river. I would definitely recommend the Wilson suite, especially for a family of five. So much space the kids were able to play hide and seek in the room whilst mummy and daddy got ready for dinner. The beds are the best, everyone slept right through the night, unusual with three kids.
Dinner was a real treat. We had a beautiful round table in the corner. The ambience was perfect, chilled music, candles everywhere and the friendliest service that one would expect from a Hastings Hotel. Our waiter Conan, was professional, attentive and charming. He looked after our every need, with the meal being served at a nice relaxing pace. The Cote de Boeuf was sensational, perfectly cooked, garnished with smoked tobacco onion rings and creamy mash potatoes to accompany. We had the Lake Chalice Pinot Noir, great recommendation from Pat, the food and beverage manager.
Breakfast the next morning was the perfect start to the day. Great selection of both cold and hot food. The service was again attentive and warm. We would love to have stayed longer, but all the more reason to return to The Everglades Hotel.

Room Tip: Pay that bit more and go for a suite, worth the extra few penny's. life's too short to stay...

A group of us girls visited last week for Afternoon Tea as part of my hen party last week and were not disappointed. The service and food was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't finish it all off and were given great little boxes to take away some of the left over treats. Would highly recommend it to everyone!

I stayed here with my husband while attending a wedding on Easter Monday even though a taxi would have taken us home. The wedding was great and my compliments to the staff on duty that day. The food, ambience etc were great and I could not fault anything. We relaxed in the foyer on arrival prior to our wedding meal. Our room (one of the bridal suites - a present from our kids) was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast in the morning was lovely with a great selection on offer. I would have loved to have stayed an extra day.

I would certainly recommend this hotel and can't wait until September when I will make a return visit.

Have just spent some wonderful time at this fantastic hotel for the European Highland dance championships. Place completely buzzing with competitors, their families, musicians and the atmosphere brilliant. Afternoon tea delightful and staff from everyone from manager down could not do more. this is a really versatile space. Great place for an event, break or longer stay and just to say...big thank you for the ducks!!

The Everglades hotel provided a quiet escape on the fringe of the city for a few days but still was only a stroll away from the bustle of Derry city. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and the restaurant provided an excellent menu in the evening to enjoy and relax before eventually retiring to a pleasant room with a very large and extremely comfortable bed. If the UK city of culture(Derry) is for you then don't go past the Everglades hotel.

We went for the Sunday Buffet as a family....... wow, the food was incredible and the staff were unbelievably attentive (but not intrusive). I would honestly recommend this to anyone visting Derry. After food it was nice to relax by the fire in the bar and sample a nice bottle or two of the house white. Well worth a visit!!
