Stayed for two nights between Christmas and the new year. Room superb as usual food great and staff as helpful as you could find in any hotel anywhere.Have stayed several times and will be back soon. One of the best hotels in my opinion in Ireland.

We booked a package of two nights B+B and one dinner over the New Year. We didn't book for the Gala Dinner as we wanted to pass the New Year quietly. We had a lovely meal on the first evening and the chef personally spoke to us and arranged our meal on New Year's Eve. Even though it clashed with the Gal Dinner our meal was excellent and served without delay. The staff were very attentive throughout our stay and the relaxing atmosphere was perfect. Room was huge with good facilities.

We went to stay at this hotel for my partner's 60th birthday and found the experience terrible. The large room was fine, but the bathroom was tired. The toiletries were meagre and we had to climb into the wardrobe to use the fixed ironing board and iron. The hotel blurb said that a flat screen tv was in the room but there wasn't one in ours.

A wedding was going on, and we felt completely sidetracked, unable to have our evening meal until 20.30 after the staff had dealt with the wedding guests. I can't believe that the hotel didn't employ more staff to deal with the guests that weren't part of the wedding group.
Our order for dinner was not correct, and the vegetables were tired (I imagine that they were the left overs from the wedding, as they certainly were not fresh). My partners order was completely incorrect, and although they corrected it, we were told that it had been made several days before and there was confusion in the fridge.....so much for fresh food!
Breakfast was a shambles! We were told it was served from 7.30 in the morning. The following morning we came down to breakfast to find that nothing was ready, and that we would have to wait for the cooked breakfast as not all the staff were up yet. The selection that was advertised was not available on that morning.

We had arranged for some friends to visit for tea....again confusion because the wedding guests were using the bar, and they didn't have anywhere to put us.

On checkout we were told that we would not be charged for the meal, but it was sneekingly included in the room price, which we only discovered on our return home. We mailed the hotel but no response was forthcoming.

I must say that I have been in 2 star hotels that are better than this. It was ironic that the following weekend the hotel had a "Faulty Towers" day.......it seems they have those every day!

We stayed at Beech Hill Hotel on 29th Nov 09 on a package for 2 nights Bed & Breakfast and 1 Dinner. Great value. The room was lovely and large with a 4 poster bed and seating area with sofa, chairs and coffee table. Very romantic. The food was lovely, we had the bar food the first night and a meal in the Restaurant the second. The homemade breads and the Apple Crumble is to die for. The staff were very friendly, nothing was to much trouble and they all seemed to be happy in their job. There was always a nice warm atmosphere which I always find is missing in the large commercial run hotels.

We attended a family wedding in the Beech Hill Country House Hotel. The reception from Patsy and Seamus made us feel like the lord and lady of the manor. The rooms were sumptuous and elegant. It was like being upgraded to First Class.

We had our wedding at the Beech Hill just weeks ago, and truely were blown away by how all the staff and the owners Patsy & Seamus made us all feel so welcome and for giving us the best day of our lives. As soon as our guests arrived they felt that the staff could not do enough to help, some of our family and friends stayed over a 4 day period and were all sad to leave this warm hospitality . The lounge, restaurant and other recreation areas were all to a very high standard and very inviting with the fires lit, the bedrooms are spotlessy clean and large in size, the food was fantastic everyone made sure to tell us this . The grounds are amazing and ideal for long walks. Nothing was a problem, our family were doing the flowers for our wedding and the hotel could were simply wonderful giving them a space. We look forward to going back to this hotel year after year. We wish all the team at The Beech Hill every success.
