“The Late Gerry Anderson”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

On Saturday I travelled all the way from Draperstown to sign the Book of Condolence for Gerry. On arrival at the Guildhall there were no indicators as to where the Condolence Book was for Gerry, but I eventually found it. I was totally astounded to see a little table with a tiny posy and a tiny Condolence Book and no photo of Gerry. All Condolence books have a photo of the person concerned alongside the book and when i commented to the receptionist, whose attention i had to gain as he was so busy chatting to his friend as to why why there was no photo of Gerry beside the book, he just shrugged his shoulders and gave me a glance, like I had two heads. An absolute Disgrace Derry Guildhall to the memory of Gerry Anderson

“Good exhibition on ground floor”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

There is a very good exhibition on the ground floor explaining the history of Northern Ireland and of Derry. The building itself is good to see - rebuilt and refurbished, but still very impressive.

“fantastic exhibit”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

I visited it on my last trip and thought the exhibit on history of Derry including events that led to the plantation of the area was quite accurate, interactive and provides a real intro to the city's unique history.

Liked the friendly welcome, the tea and the excellent breakfast with fresh fruit. Also the kickback room with its books.
