We went to the hotel on 23rd December, to have a meal in the restaurant.......£35 for two people, two courses with a bottle of wine....great value, and very good food, would recommend this to anyone.
I stayed in Derry over Christmas, and would have stayed at the hotel, but it is not open over Christmas.
I have stayed here twice before and would stay again.....great hotel...great location....lovely friendly helpful staff.
We are getting married here next year and asked if we could have a look at the penthouse suites.....nothing was to much trouble...sorry can't remember the young mans name who showed us around, but thankyou very much.....the rooms are really lovely, will be hard to make a choice on which suite to have. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Regards to all at the hotel....Paul&Theresa....and family

We loved staying in the City Hotel Derry. I was there on business with an author who was doing a charity speaking event. The staff made us so welcome and arranged for an excellent dinner to be delivered to our room before the main kitchen closed for the evening. We had a large and very comfortable room with free wifi and free parking.
It was the warmth of the staff that made such a difference. I will be back, this time with my partner to enjoy a weekend in this lovely hotel that is brilliantly located for exploring this gorgeous old city.

From the conceriege taking our bags from the car on arrival, to every member of staff we met, to the evening meal, the room and the leisure facilites - First Class!! Great location meant we could park up for the two days and walk everywhere. Visited as a couple, but would would go back with the kids.

Room Tip: We had paid extra for the superior double, lovely view over the peace bridge and river.

I booked to stay on the 7th floor in one of the new suites for my fiancé's birthday. The hotel looked great and the staff were extremely friendly however we never got a space in the carpark even at check out time. We had went down to enjoy a night out at a nearby bar and had bought some alcohol to drink in the room beforehand only to be told that we were not allowed any alcohol in the rooms unless it was purchased from the hotel as we could be fined or it would be confiscated. This was ridiculous as we stay in Derry every 2 months and have never been told this. The room was very high quality but was definitely not worth the money that I paid. We likely would not return as the Tower Hotel is just around the corner with suites double the size for half the price at are very high quality.

Room Tip: Do not pay for the suites.. definitely not worth the money.. and on check out they were allowing all new guests free upgrades.. I would take the chance.

Stayed in new rooms on seventh floor which was special. Most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. As always my stay was very good. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. I can't recommend city hotel enough.
