First time visiting Cedar... or indeed any Lebanese restaurant. We had an early booking and the restaurant was quiet but seemed to get busy after 7 O'Clock. Its BYOB so dont forget to bring something with you if you fancy a drink with dinner... and is actually a great way of having an expensive bottle of wine with dinner without paying the earth! Corkage applies... but is only a few quid and is included in the sharing option.
There are two menus... the A La Carte and the sharing or banquet option. We went with the banquet which includes three cold starters, three hot starters, a selection of grilled meats for the main and desert. This is priced at £30.00 each and as mentioned includes corkage. The food was very nice indeed having never tried Lebanese before... stuffed vine leaves, humus, salad, grilled skewers etc. enjoyed every bit of it and one word of advice... dont be in a rush! We were eating for 2-3 hours.. which is part of the beauty of the experience.. so book early if you want to enjoy the full evening.
The restaurant itself is very small... but the best has been made of the space available by the owners.. who I believe are a husband and wife team.
Thankyou Cedar... the only rason I didnt give 5 stars is that I think that both menus are slightly overpriced.. but enjoyed it anyhow.
