“Great Meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014

Visited on a Thursday night. Service was excellent, the staff were very good with recommendations for both food and drinks. Since neither of us were very hungry we skipped starters but the chef sent out a little cup of soup and lovely homemade bread for us to enjoy while we waited on the mains. I had the pork and black pudding with champ which was delicious. My gf, who is vegetarian had the risotto and it was also really good. They have a separate vegetarian menu so it's nice that they make the effort there. For dessert I had an Irish cream cheesecake and espresso ice-cream. The ice-cream was fantastic, could have eaten a bowl of it on it's own. Also great to see that they sell craft beer, not enough places in Derry doing it!

“Beautiful meal.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

Three of us had a meal in this restaurant on a Thursday night. Had three courses and the meal was beautiful. Excellent and friendly staff, and good night all in all. Have been to this restaurant before and can't complain at all. Will definitely return.

“lots of money little food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

Browns is a nice restaurant with staff that are attentive without being in your face; the menu is limited but interesting and the food is rather nice. The problem is that although the food is nice there is just not enough of it. I had a chicken main but was not impressed with what was on the plate even if it did pass the quality test. My side dish comprised of a teacupful amount of rocket with some residue of parmasan, barely enough to add to a sandwich. I felt really ripped off and would not choose to go here again. Pity though.

“Wonderful dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. We were visiting on a Tuesday night but the place was packed, and for good reason! The food is really outstanding. It's on the expensive side, dinner for two (starter, main course & dessert) plus a bottle of wine was about £80 not including tip, but it's worth it for a treat. Service was warm and friendly.
