“Good location and good hotel”
Reviewed 15 November 2013

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. We had come to Londonderry to see the Halloween celebrations, apparently some of the best in the world. It was my 65th birthday, which is why the special trip was arranged for me and the family to come to the city. The actual celebrations themselves were fantastic, and the bar at this hotel was made up astonishingly. The whole ceiling was covered in cobwebs with grotesque sculls etc. They really went to town.

The bedrooms were more than ample, we ate there and the food was also good. We walked into town to see the Halloween possession, we couldn't driven in as 30,000 people descend on the city on 31 October, and getting in by any vehicle would have been impossible. It was a 20 minute walk down the banks of the Foyle River. So overall, a good location and a good hotel and I would recommend.

Dear ‘notalamb’,
Firstly can I take this opportunity to wish you a belated Happy Birthday and I am delighted that you choose to celebrate your birthday with us. Halloween is a great time to visit the City and thank you for mentioning our Halloween decorations we do make a big effort at Halloween. The promenade walk along the River Foyle into the City Centre is very popular with our guests particularly during big events as it saves our guests getting caught in traffic or having to worry about car parking. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Da Vinci’s Hotel again soon.
Best wishes,

We spent a wonderful two nights here. The food in the grill was wonderful and not to expensive. The breakfast also very good. However quite a lot of noise from residents on the last night which was unfortunate. Overall would re-visit this hotel.

In DaVinci's Hotel at the minute. It has a big car park which is brilliant, especially, if like me, you hate parking and driving in general. Staff couldn't be more helpful, food is great, the waitresses are very friendly and are good at recommending what is best on the menu.

My room is lovely! I was told at that they were recently redecorated and I was delighted at this, there is nothing worse than a tired hotel room. Bed is cosy and VAST.

They even have sweeties at reception for Halloween. It is the small things in life that make a girl smile. Enjoying a happy stay overall. Highly recommend the hotel when staying in Derry.

Room Tip: Always ask at reception for a taxi - google and calling a company yourself doesn't guarantee the...

We enjoyed a weekend family reunion at this efficient comfortable and friendly hotel a couple of miles from the city centre. The staff were excellent and the pub attached to the hotel was lively sociable . Breakfast was a let down and we eat elsewhere during our stay. Would recommend this as a family friendly hotel for a short break and a chilled alternative to the busy city centre alternatives.
