“A real chill out holiday”

When we arrived at Pat Larrys Cottage we received a thousand welcomes not to mention tea and a lovely welcoming gift, we left leaving a thousand thank yous for all the hospitality and kindness. Pat Larrys Cottage is a credit to Isabella, Gene and family, it is a haven of serenity and tranquility and yet only 20minutes down the road we are back in the real world of Omagh or Cookstown. The scenery and the animals just set off the cottage not to mention the automatic alarm clock, sorry I mean the cockrells (only joking). I would have no hesitation what so ever in recommending Pat Larrys for a lovely holiday break. We wish Isabella, Gene and family good health and happiness for a long and successful future with Pat Larrys Cottage.

“Couldn't have been better!!”

I stayed at Pat Larry's Cottage on Saturday 17 January 2015 with my partner, my two sisters and a friend - all 23-26. We had such a great time. Booking the cottage was made so easy by Isabella as she never took longer than a few hours to reply to any emails or queries and when she did she was so helpful!

When we arrived at Greencastle we were greeted by some lovely (not so lovely when driving in it) snow!! Not to worry - Gene (Isabella's husband) was on hand to help us make our way to the cottage. He let me leave my car at the top of the lane and drove us down himself as the cottage is situated at the bottom of a valley! Lovely and peaceful! Gene even came back the next morning to take me back up the lane to my car as I had to get to work. Nothing was an issue for Isabella and Gene - they were so accommodating and helpful in every possible way.

The cottage itself is in a perfect, relaxing location with gorgeous scenery all around!! The cottage had one of the best stoves I had ever seen, it was so warm and cosy the whole time - Isabella and Gene provided the wood and turf!! Excellent for a cold January evening!! The decor, amenities and just generally everything about this cottage was perfect.

We decided to stay in as we didn't want to be driving in the snow, Gene even took my partner and my sister's partner to the shop so they could get food for the night! The cooker in the cottage is amazingly fast. The sofa and chairs recline - so comfortable.

There is wi-fi in the cottage - however it isn't the fastest but definitely better than nothing!! Still able to communicate with the outside world without being hassled too much!

Isabella even made us all cups of tea with shortbread on arrival and had bought me some lovely gifts for booking the stay - really grateful for that!! The cottage has everything you would ever need, brand new hairdryers in both rooms, shampoo, soap, sponges, towels, toilet paper, dishwasher! Everything you could need basically - would take me all day to list everything! Oh and the beds were sooo comfortable! My sister was even allowed to bring her dog - which was amazing as not many places allow this!!

We all really enjoyed our stay at Pat Larry's Cottage and would definitely return without hesitation, only next time it will be for 2 nights rather than one as Gene and Isabella were able to tell us of some things we could do while there that we didn't get a chance to due to weather and time.

Thank you so much to Isabella and Gene for everything, so lovely to meet you both and can't wait to return!

“Brilliant”

There is not much to say about this Cottage other than it is absolutely brilliant! It has been furnished to an excellent standard - the 4* NITB rating doesn't do it justice! It is set in lovely surroundings and is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The authentic peat fire is a really nice touch and heats the cottage really well - though there is modern central heating if needed. The glassware in the house is even Galway crystal!

All in all a very, very highly recommended place to stay.
