We did the walk on a sunny August day. You can do the walk as shown in the following website - http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/fife-stirling/dumyat.shtml - which is a 2 boots walk that starts part of the way up, or you can start at a car park near Blairlogie, not much above sea level which makes it a 3 boots walk, or climb rather. Getting to the start of the climb from Blairlogie can be a bit difficult, through a jungle of nettles and prickly bushes. And once you start the climb you may need to do it with regular short stops to catch your breath on the steep bits. At the top of the climb there is a broad ridge with a track that takes you directly to the top of Dumyat, where the views are superb. You can see the whole Forth valley, the Wallace monument and Stirling castle. It was a wonderful day! Make sure and take your camera..
