I was introduced to this little gem when I first moved to Aberdeen and I have taken all my visitors here since. The restaurant upstairs has basic decor and tables, but this adds to the charm. The tapas are fantastic, they are fresh and decent size portions. Aberdeen restaurants are always that little more expensive, except this one. It is reasonably priced and great food. Definitely give it a try!

The Beautiful Mountain is a takeaway lunch shop downstairs with a restaurant above it. I often visit the takeaway part for sandwiches for lunch. There's always a good selection and plenty of choice and the food is always fresh and tasty. I always have an egg mayo and smoked salmon baguette and it's always really good. The only thing that lets it down is the customer service. The people who serve behind the counter are never rarely happy and friendly and a lot of the time it seems they just don't listen as you'll probably have to repeat your order a good couple of times.
I've been upstairs for sit-down food only a couple of times. Again, the food was good but service really not great.
It's such a shame because it's such a nice wee place and again, the food's always good, fresh and tasty but the staff do let it down. Also the prices can be a bit on the high side.
A tip is to get there before 1 pm on a week day as that's when all the private school kids from the top of the street get out for lunch and there's always a massive wait while they get their Panini's.

Was out at a party on Saturday night and stayed in town. Got up with a bit of a hangover and my wife suggested we went here as the fry ups were good. I certainly was't disappointed. The breakfast was excellent, bacon, sausage, black pudding, fried egg and home made tattie scone. Washed down with fresh squeezed orange juice and a pot of tea. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. I would certainly drop in here again.

Went for a meal on a Friday night and ordered the Madrid set menu at 22.50 each and what a treat!!

The food was Delicious and kept on coming!! Super value and really varied!!

Plus after being utterly full from the tapas feast the deal entitled us to a sweet as well. That was also so yummy.

The venue was really chilled and pleasent.

I would completely recommend this place for anyone who loves tapas!!

Came here for lunch one day but I won't be going back. Had a chicken and mango sandwich and it felt like forever for the food to arrive. On top of that, it was quite expensive for the size of the sandwich. The sandwich was nice enough but quite dry. The tables are very close together too and is a tight squeeze. The waitress was nice enough.
