“Lack of ventilation”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

We had a lovely well cooked meal, service was spot on, our only negative is that the eating area is in a conservatory, and sadly because of this it made our first experience here a bit uncomfortable as the heat levels were excessive This maybe a ploy to encourage you to buy more drinks, but judging by the rust on some of the window mechanisms l think the owners need to re invest on servicing these windows. A very popular establishment and with prices at a higher band of the scale it needs to be.

“Disappointed by service”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

We were in last week for an early dinner on a very warm day, had called in the morning and specifically asked for our table NOT to be in the conservatory because it would be too hot, was assured that our table would be in the lounge. As you can imagine, when we arrived, we were then shown to a table in the conservatory which was roasting hot!!! When complaining about this we were told there was nothing they could do about it, despite us being the only table in at the time! Was extremely disappointed by this service when we could have easily been moved inside like requested.
Despite this, the food was very tasty. Not sure we will return though.

“Very Busy”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

The food was OK. They were very busy. I don't believe we ever had the same server twice. The first server seemed lost and the rest appeared as if we were interrupting them. I don think it was intentional, just super busy. I would have probably given a second chance if I weren't visiting from out of town.

“Colourful gardens”
Reviewed 24 July 2014 via mobile

Visited on a very hot day when most of the customers seemed to be sitting out in the very well kept & colourful gardens.
We chose to eat indoors and took a while to look through the extensive menu before deciding on a steak panini sandwich with fried onions & mushrooms and a tuna & red pepper mayonnaise on brown bread sandwich. Both sandwiches came with coleslaw, crisps & salad leaves and were quite filling.
The lady serving was charming and the service was very good, making for a most enjoyable lunch.
