“Fab stay :)”
Reviewed 2 March 2014 via mobile

My husband and I booked a late deal for our anniversary and we were given apartment 19 king street. I advised when booking on the phone our train would arrive around 1pm and we would make our way up after lunch for 3pm check in. I was told that they would be in touch with directions, address and a code to open a lock box with apartment keys in it and this would be sent to me before check in at 3pm. 3pm arrived and this had not come through. I got in touch and my query was answered within minutes although no apology was given. We made our way to the apartment on foot from the train station and this took us around 15/20 minutes but we had a pull along case each, the pavements were very busy and we had to follow directions so after that it only took us 10 mins to Union Street or the beach. Directions and instructions on how to get the keys were spot on. The apartment was upstairs which was no problem for us, communal stairs and hallways were well lit clean and tidy. Apartment was modern, clean, tidy and very warm which was fab after a brisk cold walk! Welcome laminate left which gave full instructions on recycling, where to leave keys after stay, contact details but nothing on where to find wifi password. I text the contact details to ask where to find it but before they could reply we had located the router (for future reference on the bottom of the bedside cabinet!!) Also in the welcome laminate it states that a welcome hamper would be provided but this was not the case, we did order on a late deal and was not expecting this so was not a problem but maybe these should be updated for future customers. Bed was comfortable, shower was forceful and instantly hot, towels fluffy, kitchen overly kitted out for dining in apart from scissors, heating was easy to control and quick in changing to desired temperature, nothing I can fault the apartment on! Morrisons and corner shops within minutes walk, very calm and quiet area, plenty if parking but was not needed for us. We had a takeaway delivered on night of arrival and they found it no problem. Will happily return in future :)

We were very impressed with the level of comfort offered in the apartment. It was quiet and private with easy parking plus being conveniently placed for anywhere you want to go in Aberdeen.
It is so good to find somewhere you look forward to returning to in the future.
Thank you.

Stayed here for 5 days over Christmas while visiting family. Had the 2 bed apartment as there was 4 of us and as usual was very clean, comfortable and tidy. Angela was very welcoming, nothing too much trouble, which made our stay great. Very well priced and so much better than a guest house or hotel. Thank you

Owner sent me a text with details of key and door combination. Parking allocated so no issues.

Flat is compact but good size. It was clean, quiet and the milk, cereal, water, coffee etc is a nice touch.

I will definitely use again.

I've started working in Aberdeen and this is my residence of choice.

The apartment is lovely, Angela the owner couldn't be more helpful.

It's really nice to have the option to make something for dinner in the evening and to sit on a proper sofa rather than perch on the end of a hotel bed.

I really can't recommend it highly enough.

A very nicely decorated apartment block north of the city centre in Aberdeen, all seemed well until we found that the hot water was on the blink. The owner did pop round to sort this out while we were about our business on a Saturday but going without a hot shower in November in Aberdeen isn't the most fulfilling of experiences - especially when the water managed to only achive lukewarm status on the second morning. The apartments concept is all very well until something isn't quite right in which case, getting matters sorted is inevitably difficult logistically. I'm sure we were just unlucky.
