It's been a while since we've been to the Tien Restaurant, and I must say they've made the place a little more comfortable, it's not as big as it was and is nicely decorated.
We were seated promptly by the waitress and handed our menus. With the starters and mains ordered and drinks served the manager Leo came over to explain that Saturday was a buffet night, in as such you ordered from the menu what you wanted and it was freshly prepared for you. same with the main course. if you fancied seconds of anything all you had to do was ask, or even a new dish if required.
Leo ordered us some duck to go along with the starters and main. (excellent also)
The starters were piping hot when they came and I must admit very tasty, the Satay Chicken skewers were very nice helped with the Satay sauce, the meat from the ribs were falling from the bone and equally as nice to eat. the pancake rolls and prawn toast also went down a treat with my family.
The main course's were very well received and filing so much so that we couldn't order any extras much the pity
We'll be back and hopefully Leo will have explained to his staff how the menu works. It would also help if the actual menu itself had some mention of the buffet.
