“Pleasant stay in comfortable surroundings”
Reviewed 2 September 2014

Stayed here for 3 nights customer training.
Beds very comfortable, clean room and strong wifi.
Staff who were helpful throughout but a little slow.

The hotel is fairly central but on a quiet street which helps and at the back is a quiet square overlooking either luxury flats or rentals. Either way its pleasant and Quiet!

Tried the bar and good selection, didn't try the restaurant as i prefer to get out and about.
If i had to go back i might stay again if available.

Room Tip: The back is quieter and better looking. However quiet street so no issue.

I stayed here for 1 night with my wife (date night!)

We booked a Queen room but on arrival was informed we were upgraded to King size Room.

We also booked a meal at the Nick Nairn restaurant. We booked dinner for 8pm but on arrival at restaurant was informed it was really busy and our table would be delayed. I asked for a complimentary drink at the bar which we were initially refused but eventually we received a drink. After 10 minutes or so we were informed our table was ready but we might not be able to place order for up to 45 minutes as still busy. when we went to ur table we noticed restaurant was half empty, not exactly busy!

We placed our food order about 15 minutes after sitting down and the meal was really enjoyable.

As for the room, again this is what we would expect from a Hilton hotel. Really clean, modern and comfortable.

Would we stay here again? Yes, most certainly as it ticked all the right boxes for a quick city centre break

Room Tip: We stayed in room 514, at back of hotel and very quiet

Good central location, quiet and clean rooms. Reception and restraint staff poorly trained. receptionist Russian accent that strong we had to ask her 3 times to repeat herself on check in. Very slow customer service and un helpful. Bar staff very slow too plus had three quarters of the on tap ales not working for the 4 days of our stay. The celebrity chef named restaurant stops serving at 8.30 and needed reservations. Arrived on time for reservation but kept waiting in the bar area 15 mins when the restaurant was mainly empty and no explanation. Packet white bread served and only on request. Supervisor seemed more content entertaining the tables she wished with playful banter rather than seeing other tables where cleared and food brought out. Excellent food when it arrived. Had to wait that long for dinner plates to be listed and desert order to taken I couldn't wait any longer. Meal for two plus wine £88.00.

Great location, within a few minutes walk to the train station and some great restaurants. The rooms are okay, nothing special. The breakfast in the morning was not up to most Garden inns. The staff was very standoffish and not very friendly or helpful. I would stay here again because of its location since the other Hilton property was further away from the station.

If you are staying over/passing through or holidaying in Aberdeen this is one of the best hotels in the city centre area to reside in and the food is first class to boot - a real winner that gives everything from dedicated staff through to a clean bed

Just off the city centre in a quiet street. Comfortable beds in large rooms with a good bar and restaurant. Good for business and a nice base to explore the city. The restaurant is reasonably priced and serves good food.

Stayed here with my wife a few days ago after booking directly through Hilton. Asked for a quiet room, away from the kitchens with an early check-in (as arriving on an early morning flight), and was half expecting the receptionist to say " Sorry, wasnt aware of that" - but very pleased to say that after the warm welcome, all three requests were met. - Well done Hilton ! Good sized room and my wife was happy to see a proper hairdryer in the room, rather than the ones with the power of a gnats breath, as well as a decent supply of tea and coffee. The beds (twin) were really comfy and we probably had the best nights sleep for a while. Some may find the aircon noise a little intrusive.
The location is ok - (current Google maps shows building works which are long finished), being a 1 minute walk from John Lewis, and a couple of shopping centres a bit further one (again within 5-10 mins). Within 10 mins you can be in the cafes/ restauarants / bars of Belmont Rd pedestrian area.
We hadnt pre-booked breakfast, but changed our mind in the morning as we had a long day - with travel ahead. Mistake. The hotel offers a selection of cereals / meats / cheeses / fruit etc on a buffet basis. Unfortunately the same was true with the 'cooked breakfast' items, which consequently were all lukewarm. The water from the urns for hot drinks were also similarly cool.
For a hotel in Hilton group - I think that that least they could do was cook breakfasts to order: The chef / cook is there anyway.
We complained, the Reception staff were very understanding and we had this deducted from the bill.
But to repeat, we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back to face a residential block opposite, but it was very quiet.
