The hotel is set in woodlands & you feel scerenity, yet in actual fact, your just minutes from the city centre. It also puts you in a great spot to fish, ramble or if you like, there's a dry ski slope very close. Now as for the hotel. A very nice /long driveway leads you to a grand hotel. You are greeted by very welcoming staff & several log fires. The team could not do enough for us. The rooms are done to a high standard, with everything you require & demand of a hotel, which encludes 24/7 WiFi access during your stay. The food is to a very high standard of produce, cooking & presentation. You WILL enjoy your stay here. My wife & I departed & felt totally refreshed!!

Just returned from a fabulous weekend at the Norwood, staff were lovely although the young man who checked us in managed to spoil a surprise 50th by telling my husband about the rest of our guests!!!!aaarrrggghhhh!!! Lucky he was leaving that day :-) rooms are lovely, tasteful decor and great size, we were in the original part of the hotel and unfortunately had to turn the shower on 20 minutes befor hand to allow the hot water to feed through...... Luckily we were in no hurry to get up and out. Had dinner in the restaurant on the first evening which was superb, actually can't believe some people didn't enjoy the food, too fussy I think ! The grounds around the hotel are beautiful and very well kept We would definately pay a return visit. Great time had by all.

Room Tip: Rm 4 lovely but be prepared to jump back into bed and wait on shower running hot :-)

This hotel just makes you fell so welcome the minute you arrive - two log fires warming you before arriving at the reception desk! where an even warmer welcome awaited me,
The character of this hotel is amazing and in supreme condition-and the junior suite where I stayed was very tastefully designed and recent - so the best of both worlds
The food was well cooked and presented and the dining room has all the origional features, the staff were very proficient and also friendly a rare combination
I am not easy to please and have stayed in many hotels in Aberdeen; this one definately deserves a return visit- it gets ten out of ten from me.

Room Tip: I always chose junior suite-spacious the bed is fab & the bathroom has bath and walk in shower...

We recently held our wedding at Norwood Hall and with over 100 guests travelling from all over the world to join us we could not have asked for better care, service and attention to detail. Our wedding weekend was so fantastic for us but also for all our guests which was incredibly important. Elisa and her team were superb!!

Our first visit to Aberdeen and must say our stay at the Norwood Hall Hotel was much more than we could have dreamed of. Stayed on a 3 for 2 night price offer sleeping in a very large room (think it was an upgrade to a suite) which was spotlessly clean and the decor very inviting. Bathroom was great with bath and shower and the best of complementary toiletries A full breakfast was included in the price which was served very well presented and hot, staff were more than helpful. We loved the character of the hotel with it's roaring open fires and Scottish charm.

This is a quality hotel, of that there is no doubt. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms and are kept spotlessly clean.
The staff in the hotel are also very good and could not be faulted.
In my opinion this otherwise fantastic hotel, was let down by the quality of the food it served. The evening meal was vastly overpriced for what was served and the quality was not of the standard I would have expected, going by the rest of the hotel.
This was also true of the cooked breakfast which, again in my opinion, looked like it had all been deep fried and was overpriced by far.
However, the pro's far outweigh the con's and on the whole its probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in

We are regular guests at Norwood Hall, and have stayed at the hotel more than we have stayed at our home since Christmas. The overall experience we have gained from the hotel is far superior than any other hotel we have stayed at in the UK. We are obviously biased as we have built great relationships with the hotel staff... however once you have stayed at Norwood for a few nights, why would you want to stay anywhere else? As other guests have commented the Junior Suites are spacious (required if you are on a long stay) with 6ft beds, large shower cubicle in addition to a bath and great Arran products, the food is truely divine (with special requests catered for) and in our humble opinion is deserving of more than a single AA Rosette. Service is superb. We are looking forward to our next visit already - and we haven't left yet!!!

Room Tip: At the time of booking clear state your preferences & expectations to the reservation team and t...
