Had a two day works seminar held in the hotel. The suite i was given was top class and had no faults in the slightest. Four poster bed and all the little extras that would it a worthwhile romantic break away.
The hotel is well decorated and i was met by the friendliest irish girl receptionist that iv ever dealt with.
Negative side being the drinks prices but thats a small niggle that is easy to forget.
Food was great in every lunch and evening meal i eat.
Deffinately recommend this hotel.

As per the previous review just wanted to say that as a wedding venue Norwood Hall hotel is superb. The setting, accommodation, food and the staff were fantastic. The staff couldn't do enough to make our day fantastic. Special mention must go to Jill the wedding planner and Santa in the bar both friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable . We'd fully recommend Norwood to our friends and family.

I stayed here as part of the wedding party for Tracey & Andy's wedding on Friday 18th October 2013. Right from the moment of our arrival, the staff were so helpful, professional, polite and friendly. We were met at the door, booked in at Reception and shown to the lift and rooms with the greatest of help and care. Our Barmaid on the Thursday night was a lovely Russian girl named Santa and she was just so nice. She mingled with us and the children in a very friendly manner and was so prompt and professional in her service. The Dining Room staff at evening dinner and breakfast were all so helpful and accommodating in preparing a large table for our families joining together. The actual wedding service and wedding dinner was looked after by Mr Chris Rock and he did a truly outstanding job of caring for us. The wedding went so smoothly and this due entirely to his tremendous care and attention to detail. The Norwood Hall Hotel deserves full marks for making our stay so utterly enjoyable.

Room Tip: Our family had a number of rooms and considered each to be excellent.

This is the nearest hotel to RGU - a 10 minute walk away, but is not easy to get to from Aberdeen Airport. There is a choice of a cross-country route, or in towards Aberdeen town centre and then out again for taxis, at a cost of about £25. In a pleasant country house setting in some not very extensive woodland. Staff are friendly and there are nice open fires on the go in the public areas. No wifi in rooms, just in public areas. Breakfast is hearty. Dinner quite expensive, and there are no other restaurants close by. Rooms are comfortable, though the TV in my room was tiny!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time in reviewing us here.

Currently we have a number of rooms not receiving wifi that will be upgraded in due course. We do have another 63 rooms of our 73, all receiving strong signal including access in our public areas.

In addition to our AA Rosette awarded restaurant we do have the option of our resonably priced bar menu that can be enjoyed in our bar, library or delivered to the room.

Thank you for choosing Norwood Hall for your stay and we would look forward to your return again in the future.

OK. If you get the cheaper deal from a web site you will get the cheaper rooms. Why cant the hotels be honest and upfront about this? What was disappointing though was that on arrival there was no hot water. The room was cold. There is no wi fi in the room.
At five this morning a fan went on and for the next two hours it sounded like a micro light was hovering about out side my window. Even shutting the window did not help.
I have another night here so will post if there is an improvement.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review. Reading your comments it is clear you occupied one of our 10 Classic single room’s, these rooms are advertised on several third party websites in the special offer section. These rooms are the smallest of our 73 bedrooms and are situated at the back of the old house.

Due to location the hot water does take slightly longer to run through, the heating is individually controlled and I do apologise if the temperature control had not been adjusted prior to your arrival.

Free wifi is available in all other hotel bedrooms and in all public areas, work commences next week to install this service to the Classic bedrooms also.

In addition to 10 Classic single rooms the hotel offers 63 wonderful bedrooms including Executive, Junior Suites and Feature rooms, all of which can be viewed on our website.

If you are travelling back to Aberdeen in the future please call us directly at the hotel and we will be delighted to arrange the best available rate for you.

The hotel was very welcoming, the room are lovely and clean with lots of space. Recommend the room service food is excellent and a good price. The hotel setting is what makes the stay special the wooded area gives a sense of being in the country but still really close to the city, if you want somewhere calm and peaceful but still close to the city with lovely accommodation then I would recommend this hotel . We booked the hotel because out daughter moved into university, this was our second visit and not disappointed ,will be coming back again when we visit our daughter at university.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your kind words.

We are always pleased to know when our guests are happy with our service as this is something we take great pride in.

Indeed we are very close to the town centre in our country setting and only a 10 minute walk from Robert Gordon University.

We look forward to your next visit with us.
