This is a country house hotel in Aberdeen so its location is excellent, it's very quiet with good gardens.
The public areas are olde worlde, the log fire in the hall was very nice. ;
The staff are excellent, very friendly and keen to tell the story of the house.
The comments on here that wi fi is available in the hotel is not correct.I was in the old part of the hotel and there was neither a phone signal nor wi fi. Friends who were in the new part of the hotel had a good signal so if wi fi is important then ask for a room in the new wing. My room was tiny compared to the ones in the new wing.
Drinks here are outrageously expensive.
Take care if you are arriving at night, the sign at the end of the drive isn't lit and we drove past it without seeing it. There's really no excuse for not having a spotlight on the sign.More
