Overall I am a big fan if the Ibis in Aberdeen. I have been travelling here for work now for a few years and and in the last year or so the prices of hotels in Aberdeen have rocketed. Like all Ibis hotels (that i have stayed in) it is impeccably clean and the service is always excellent.
The location could not be better. It is down by the harbour but only a one minute walk to Union Street and only 5 minutes from Union Square and the station. It's cheap for Aberdeen but that doesn't mean much! The last 2 times I have stayed the price has been around £150 a night. I'm sure a stay at the weekend would be a lot cheaper and other than the Travellodge I have not found a cheaper hotel this close to the city centre
The main reason for the 4 star review is that the rooms at the back of the hotel back onto a main road which ca be a little noisy if you are a light sleeper like myself. Recommended for people on a budget that want to be this close to the city centreMore
