Stayed in the apartments across from the main hotel only to find I was in the attic.
The room was small but nice enough, the downside been I was sharing a bathroom with the room next door. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned since the last people checked out as the room next to me was vacant at the time.
I've stayed in cheap B&B's with a shared bathroom but never a hotel.
I would have had a good nights sleep but was woken at 12 when the occupant of the next room came in and then left just before six.
Two pillows on a double bed was a bit tight too.
The next morning I noticed I couldn't have a cup if tea due to tea making point.
I did mention this to reception who said all rooms should have one?

I have stayed at the Highland for over a week and found it to be just fine. Friendly staff, clean rooms and perfectly fine bath. Is it elegant? No, but the location makes up for so much. Nice pubs in area with lots of good dining choices.

Awful. Do not stay here unless somebody else is paying for it. Neither bed-side light worked, the tv remote didn't work, reported that to reception and was just told there was no replacement. The pressure from the shower was laughable and it alternated from freezing cold to scaldingly hot at random. Owners clearly don't care about guests, they get most of their business from oil companies so service is virtually non existant. Restaurant is also poor.

Very handy hotel for shopping in aberdeen, staff were friendly and helpfull, the choice for eve meal was very good, the food was very well presented and very tasty. Breakfast was a buffet style which is very handy for people on the go. A comfortable bar and resteurant. The room was average with TV phone tea coffee making facilities, very clean.
My only complaint would be that they are having a refurb program ongoing and it would have been good if they included sound proofing, and quieter door closures. i was at the front of the hotel room 105 and its very noisy through the night.
Apart from that i had a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: The rear of the hotel might be better
