Got put up in this hotel by my company don't know if it was the last hotel in Aberdeen or it was done as a joke on arrival to the hotel opend the door and was met by an almighty smell off chip pan grease and what i think was wet dog.I didn't have the pleasure off staying in the hotel but got put across in what the call villa's or suites.
To say the room was dated was an understatement it was a bed and a home made shelf with a TV on top, only bit decor was a A4 sized picture of a old sailing ship which looked like it had been there from the 60's.The ensuite has definitely not passed building regs as you couldn't even shut the door whilst sitting on the toilet. The wall the toilet had been made if can only be described as ply board and about 4mm thick if that.As the night went on i was kept awake all night by the constant traffic driving up and down the street to be expected staying in a city but could be prevented by upgrading from single pane glass windows to double glazing or maybe sound proofing.I will never stay in this hotel again i would rather sleep on a park bench as you would get more rest doing that if any one every asks me about the highland I would simply reply avoid like the plague

I spent two nights at the highland hire and I would recommend it. Very good city centre location, good room facilities at reasonable prices. I had a single room at the front of the hotel overlooking the Main Street and didn't think it was noisy.
Good hotel for single people and couples with easy access to all city centre amenities.

I would thoroughly recommend the Highland to anyone visiting Aberdeen on business or pleasure. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Lovely little bar and beer garden. Tasty hearty grub. Comfortable rooms with tasteful decor. Couldn't really ask for more!!! I would certainly ditsy here again next time I am on business.

I'm surprised by the overall low score as I've been several times and have never had a bad experience. Rooms vary (clearly they've made as much use of the space to get more rooms) but they are clean and in general good repair. Breakfast and service is very good. Reception can be a little less than attentive to detail (no acknowledgement when arriving at desk- but that was just one person and a minor thing). A little pricey but its Aberdeen! personally I'd return here as its consistently good as a functional place to stay right off Union Street.

Stayed at the Highland Hotel Apartments for my hen night with 3 other friends. Perfect for what we needed - clean and spacious and near enough in centre of town. Very reasonably priced. Found the beds comfy, bathroom clean and complimentary tea, coffee & biscuits. Only slight niggle was no full length mirror - vital when getting ready for a night out!
