“Needs freshening up”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

Stayed here for two nights. Room was comfortable and warm and the hosts were welcoming. Breakfast was perfect and tasty. There was no hairdryer in my room which was right at the front of the B&B and with wooden floors throughout it was quite noisy. Also the doorbell seemed to ring right outside my room which was quite annoying on the first night there.

The whole b&b seemed to have a bit of a neglected air to it. The dual flush on my toilet was broken and there was no batteries in the clock in my room or in the one in the dining room. It felt like they had let standards slip slightly over the winter and it was in need of a thorough spring clean.

Overall I would stay there again though.

Room Tip: Do not pick room 1. Its right next to the front door.

Stayed for 1 week with the family. Lovely spacious clean rooms, tasty breakfast and friendly, helpful owners. Beats a soulless travel lodge every time!

Stayed here on a business trip and i have to say that it is hard to sleep at this place due to the fact that the hallway and entrance floors are wooden so sound resonates through the rooms when the owners, staff and residents walk around, terrible!!!Carpet it!

The sound echoes when people are speaking and walking to and from the dining room.
The owners or their staff are obviously up and about at 05.15hrs as all you can hear is doors banging behind them and loud footsteps as they walk about, not to mention the washing machine running too!!

The en-suite was very dated, handbasin taps were odd, didn't match. The grouting in the shower was black with mould, the ceiling above was mouldy and to top it off there is a major safety issue too! Unshielded electrical cable at floor level next to the shower cubicle, a small nick in that cable and it is goodbye to the person standing in the bathroom.

The kettle was located on the floor, not very hygenic in my opinion.

The breakfast is good, the owners are nice enough but don't seem to have a clue about communicating with each other to be quite blunt.

Definetly not a place to stay for a break, or families. And if you need to sleep more than 5hrs a night then give this place a wide berth.

Forgot to mention, the place is right next door to a funeral home.

Stayed for seven weeks while on business. I had the same room for the whole period of my stay. It was like I was going home after a long day at work. It was nice to be in the same room, week after week the free internet was great. The environment was always welcoming, clean and very homely, with great breakfast every morning. Most of the guests were in the main men, so ladies if in any doubt don't be! it would have been nice to see more women at the guest house. That said, I would highly recommend.

Stayed here many times while working in Aberdeen.

Off street parking, nice breakfast, polite curteous owners, free internet most rooms with freeview tv.

Many room options and mainly business clientelle during the week.

I would recomend.
